Campus Life

5

My overall experience was really great. I got a set of good people around me who really made me understood the value of love and friendship and companionship. Also the teachers who were just like our parents helpful whenever we need . We have college arts festivals different clubs for dance and singers as well and sports department which won best sports dept under Calicut University back then and there is placement cell, different student run groups for entrepreneurship and promotion and a huge library named abussabah library complex which is one of the largest in calicut

Hostel Facilities

4

In a room we will be provided with beds and pillows and wardrobe as well and meal quality is somewhat good when compared to others a rating of 8/10 fr food . Hostels are somewhat affordable about 4000 including for per month and nearby Pg and rented houses are also available

Admission

I chose dept of sociology in farook college because it had consequently won the best department award in ug level in Kerala for Mary sicily award and had best faculties. Also colleges infrastructure and management was better when compared to others and the teaching was also really good

Faculty

5

Department of sociology faculties are really helpful and the student teacher relationship is a 10/10 here. They are really approachable. I would like to mention our dearest HOD Dr Badhriya Beegum and our teachers Dr Mohamed Musthafa K T and Dr Shilujas M who helped me during college days. Every sem we had main exams and internal exams as well for each subject and difficulty levels are medium and about 1 or 2 might fail the exams but they do clear all the supplys as well . Course curriculum is very relevant and student friendly in nature

Night Life

5

Girl Hostel timings are about 6 o clock and boys also but they don't follow timings. There is gym facility in indoor and also in hostels. Public area closes about 6 30 pm. Nearby there are so many hotels and restaurants and chill spots hangout places like beaches and some ponds are nearby. Many movie theatres and malls are also found

Other Applied Colleges

Malabar Christian College- [MCC] | Master of Arts [MA] (Economics)

I wanted sociology from farook college itself because it had bagged best department award ug level for about consequent years Mary sicily award

Exams are held each semester and are moderately difficult beacuse of this, so practical training and teaching methods need improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as because I like English Literature. The student ratio that my class own is about 48 students in total. Majority of the teachers who are posted there are those who have qualified with NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST). The current HOD is one of the retired Assistant Professor from one of the renowned college around Kozhikode town. Internal exam were timely, but coming to University exams it was so restless. But as if now, it is getting into the track again by conducting exams on time.

Exams are extremely challenging and if we have covered minimum portions we can easily go through them. And any malpractices like attempts are not allowed and would get punished for. I chose for my own interest and have enough fun throughout the time period.
