We got an internship after first year at Smart city Kochi

Dislikes

They didn't provide a good mentorship and faculties are mostly Freshers they don't have any experience in teaching
They offered lot of things like add on course and AC classrooms, And we didn't got it
Management is worse They even didn't know how to run a college

Course Curriculum Overview

Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning is good course. It is hard, best for future. And we will get high paying jobs all over the world. Circulum want to improve more in core studies. And other is good

Internships Opportunities

We got Internship at Litmus7 Systems Consulting Ltd. There we got a ecosystem like IT proffessionals and a great experience and the problem was college said it will be a internship with stipend and two semesters we didn't even get that stiped till now!

Placement Experience

They offered great placements in MNC's with 100% placement assurance. We are the first batch of the college and I'm pursuing my 4th semester now. College will provide placement for all students with 24LPA salary package as FRESHER

Fees and Financial Aid

For my course as Tuition fee 75000 and 2000 something for sem exams (per sem) and other sports fee like 500 and something.If you got mark more than 90% you will got a scholarship of 25k. Merit students with great marks have a lot of scholarships

Campus Life

Here we don't have any entertiment purposes there no clubs, no studnets portals, no student run social groups, no library, no sports, no arts, we only got a chrismtas program and we didn't any other festive programs or cultural programs. To be frank Campus life is WORSE!!!

Admission

They offered a lot of things, like *mentor mentee system, *stipend after second semester, *paid internships, *add on courses, *placement with high salary package and more hostel facilities and more. Eligibility for admission was get above 75% in 12th

Faculty

There are only 4 stundents in my class. And most of the faculties are freshers. We have faculty for Logic System Design her name is Alisha Unnikrishnan. She have industry level experience such good quality "TEACHER" . And have score 40% to pass Semester exams. And 70% in internals

Night Life

This is not a city this is village area. If you want go town there is 10 km differnce between town and college. Hostel timing 8AM-8PM so there no such nightlife. There no such Gym or cafeterias at college. We only have a 7's football ground.And day scholars must leave before 6.30 from campus

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

I choose this college because the admission team from the college convinced me by telling their future plans. They said that they will provide us add on courses of free which make us earn 50000-100000 per year which allow us to pay our tuition fees as well but not wente in a good way there is only theory now no practical knowledge.Comparing with other colleges there is no celebrations here that is the main negative thing don't getting proper time to enjoy only studies .
