What Students Say
Likes
- The campus is huge compared to the other tier 3 colleges and there are lots of events going on for students.
- Teaching is decent and many workshops are conducted too for the benefit of students.
Dislikes
- The jntu curriculum is outdated and needs to align with practical learning more rather than repititive study patterns.
Course Curriculum Overview
I've always had a grip at coding as I've studied java in my 10th (Icse) , so i was naturally interested towards it. The computer science related subjects are well patterned and the syllabus is quite progressive and helpful for what I've learnt yet. Though they can improve it near the records as they make us write the same thing multiple times.
Internships Opportunities
We have summer schools after completion of first year so that students can apply for internships without harming their attendance. They also take us on industrial visits to watch and learn for ourselves from established companies.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to appear for placements from III-II i.e 3rd year 2nd semester. Many companies visit the college and the highest package was around 44 lpa as of 2023. The average package is approximately around 3-4 lpa. There are many bulk recruiters like tcs , infosys and accenture visiting too so major amount of students get placed. I'll pursue a job after i get the degree
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is decided by the jntu university which the college is affiliated too and based on the previous few years it has stayed constant with minimal increase in the fee structure for students who join through competitive examinations. The yearly fees is 133000rs. Development and miscellaneous fee add up to 50000rs.
Campus Life
There are a lot of events for us compared to other colleges. We have technical fests , sports fests and social fests too. We have a library that gives us access to computers and also a wide variety of books. We also do have sports which include soccer , kabaddi , volleyball , basketball etc.
Admission
i had a decent rank in eapcet exam conducted in telangana , for the rank that i had obtained snist was one of the options . From what I've seen , this college is the most flexible in an overall manner as we have good amount of events , co curricular activities and good placements when compared to other tier 3 colleges.
Faculty
the student to faculty ratio is around 60:1. Most of the faculty that've taught us are quite good when it comes to their teaching , and some of them provide insights over how to approach btech in an effective way. The exams are often easy if you prepare well for it , they teach you all the required topics to clear examinations with ease. The relevancy if curriculum is not really flexible as it requires us to write baseless records rather than ones that may help with our career ahead.
Night Life
We usually have events that end at 9pm or so. There are two cafeterias in our college that provide good food and drinks. The college classes begin at 8:55 and ends at 3:35 Hostel timings are set accordingly, though I'm a day scholar. The college is in the outskirts so there's very few places to hangout outside of college , there are many cafes though.
