Jims- see what you're getting into

The curriculum is mostly theory based. Practicals are not paid much heed to which is actually good for us as we can pass easily but by the learning aspect its not very helpful. For internships and placement the classes are not very helpful but they do give the basics about a programming language. The curriculum just clears the basics but for real world we have to prep on our own.

Yearly fees for btech cse is 135000 for general. You have to pay 60000 at the time of ipu seat allotment to reserve your seat and the rest when you go for councilling in college. Ipu provides scholarship for ews students. You can apply in main campus dwarka sector 16. Considering other engineering colleges jims is quite affordable

Campus life is not very happening as the location is off but there are almost 50 surrounding colleges in knowledge park so you can always make your college life happening anywhere. There are not very big events at jims but an annual fest called zest is held. Last time they called krsna at bharat mandapam and it was a fun event. Winter carnival, summer fest oorja are some other events Library is loaded with books be ot for academic or preparation of competitive exams. Main sports are basketball and volleyball because the campus could only accomodat only two courts:) But there are other sports team as wll like kabbadii, cricket and badminton. To be honest i just wanted a college in ipu and wasnt much aware of the rankings because i also got selected for manav rachna which was my option till i got admitted. But fess was one aspect another was ipu degree and better placement. I appeared for jee and got admission from councilling in the third round. I scored about 65 percentile (yeah it was way too less). But you can get direct admission in jims via management quota and not a very rate.

The faculty is helpful and their teaching methods are also great. Most of faculty are phd holders and the others are atleast postgraduates. Their are mostly mid terms and after that end term internal practicals then end term external practicals and finally end term examination. Sometimes there is mid term 2. Exams in ipu are easy to pass, mostly pyqs. The curriculum is not very related to course in my opinion as most things even in c language, dsa and c++ are theory whereas more of practical should be taught.

There is a canteen and a nescafe at the campus but yiu fan always go outside and have noce food. Nightlife is not very happening unless you live in hostel.
