Remarks
College management is quite good and after becoming IIT things really changed and college, hostel staff is also very supportive in nature. One has not to worry about electricity, internet etc. Overall college management is good and supportive.
Entrance Preview
I gave JEE (Advanced) 2014 and my JEE rank is 8476. I opt this college because it is one of the oldest engineering institutes in India which brought up electrical, mechanical, ceramic and pharmaceutical engineering in India. And it has always succeeded to stand with the other old IITs even when it wasnt one. IIT (BHU) has been admitting students through IIT-JEE only since the inception of JEE and was ranked better than IIT Guwahati even without an IIT tag.
Course Curriculum Overview
Having stood at such a great position without having any assistance like all IITs have, IIT (BHU) is surely improving day by day after becoming an IIT. The curriculum was thoroughly revised and implemented from the batch of 2014. It includes branch related subjects in the first year itself so that students can explore their interests as much as they can.
Internships Opportunities
Company Visiting: Some of the companies that visit campus for recruitment also offer placements. Some of them are Amazon, HUL, Reliance etc. Students have to arrange on their own: Apart from the companies coming one has to arrange for training on their own. Some students do projects under department faculties itself.like IAS (indian academy of science) etc. Some students also got a chance for foreign internships.
Placement Experience
Overall Scenario: One need not worry about placements after you get into IIT. Placements are superb at IIT-BHU with high packages being offered. Placed: Almost 100%. Average Package: 7 LPA Top Placements: Rs 2.03 crore per annum offered by Oracle, US (including employee stock option plan (ESOP) Rs 1.63 crore per annum offered by Google (including employee stock option plan (ESOP))Top Recruiters Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, Applied Materials, Axtria, Browserstack, Career UTS etc.
College Events
What concerns the college authorities is the overall development of the students. To ensure the same objective a large number of events are organised within the campus. Various fests are organised annually that ensure the same. We have our cultural fest kashiyatra, sports fest spardha, techno- management fest technex and film and media counclil fest fmc weekend and various departmental fests. these fest have huge participation from outside colleges.

Campus Life
You will never come to know how time passes in college. Literally speaking, time flies. The days passes by in department attending lectures and labs and what time you are left by goes in planning events in college, interacting with friends and seniors or by simply surfing net. In spite of the frankly awful girl/boy ratio (1:11!), The crowd overall is quite nice. Students tend to gel with each other easily, and that can probably be attributed to the complete lack of regionalism.
Hostel Facilities
IIT BHU have sharing hostel rooms of 2 (and 3 in some hostels).there are sufficient amount of rooms and are in good condition. The messes are meant only for meals, and the food they serve is actually not too bad (which is excellent by IIT standards). There
