What Students Say
Likes
- Playground for basketball, cricket, badminton, football and basketball.
- The Fees is so affordable and I can't thank it any more for the things it provides in that fees.
- There are many clubs and so many variations of tech including software and hardware clubs are present.
Dislikes
- The college gate and infrastructure especially considering the fact that it is a university
- The 1st year hostel which is outside of the campus.
- The study sessions it is too harsh for the 1st years.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is still outdated I guess. They should understand the fact that when a person chooses a branch they know the consequences but forcing the 1st years to study all the various disciplines of engineering is not a good thing for a new beginning.form 2nd year it is fine though.i would recommend they should add optionals for the 1st year instead of forcing them.
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft, Amazon,TCS, Infosys and many top companies hire in campus.Again there are also students who managed to get 83lpa form international companies like macafee. There are many off campus placements which are above 40lpa.
Placement Experience
Our college has best placements in Odisha after IIT and NIT to be honest,in terms of alumini network it has one the best,in fact many college students of this college has joined the top mncs and fortune 500 companies after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid around 45 thousand rupees for course fee,and 11 thousand for hostel fee and 14 thousand for the mess fees.so the total annual fees around 75k per year, it's one of the most affordable college in the country.Althogh the state provide plenty of scholarships which may vary from 20k to 45k per year ,but I have not applied any of them.Sc and st fees are about 5k less than us .There is also a tuition fees waiver scheme for the economically weaker sections.
Campus Life
The campus is ok,but the clubs variety and efforts can be seen ,It got about 15 clubs atleast in every related and non related Domains of engineering.Even each club has their own type of celebration and fest.
Hostel Facilities
The facility is avarage as expected form an government college the mess food is some time good sometimes average. The infrastructure of hostel is old i guess. You can see cracked wals and the floors are dirty.Although they clean regularly i wouldn't recommend to people who are first time to hostel.
Admission
It was near my house, and it was one of the best colleges of odisha even if we say India it wouldn't be wrong as it has proven itself again and again by showing it's performance by placements and to be fair it is the best for software placements and it is situated in the capital city of odisha.
Faculty
The faculties are great and very friendly and helpful, they also provide extra classes for the waek and needy students. They some time act harsh on the students but it is for our better Shake i guess. Many of them at indeed IITIAN and Niti and.
Night Life
The night life is pretty astonishing as there are 2 food courts in front of college again it is in the radius of the capital city so it can seen from the night crowd. In night there are pretty places to wonder and hangout with friends.
