Likes

Two of my professors are good. If you get selected under Dr. Bagal or Dr. Sona for project, then it will be an amazing opportunity for great exposure. But if you get any other professor then your project is basically a burden for you

Dislikes

Labs are not maintained well. Equipments are there, but they are old. Ans some dont work
Dirty washrooms, they keep it clean but there is always a sour smell. Have got UTI thrice in 3 years
HOD of Chemical doesnt have basic knowledge of the subject she teaches. Only reason she has her post is because of reservation. There is no professionalism in her.

Course Curriculum Overview

No comments on the curriculum since it is in hands of Mumbai University apparently the worst university. I like the subject yes. Learning chemical engineering is great but the stuff that MU has included can be avoided

Internships Opportunities

No stipend are offered since its an engineering internship But companies like Rcf, Basf, Reliance. Jacob, Technip, Worley offer internship for one or two month after every semester You learn more through internships rather than through lectures in the college

Placement Experience

Student become eligible after 7th sem for placement Worley, Technip,Technimomt, RCF, Hightest: 7LPA, lowest: 3LPA 100 per cent placements rates, some go for higher studies, but the other ones are sure to get placed. Higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

yearly fees is around 1 lack 7 thousand for general for obc it is around 65k for other categories i am not aware college provides various scolrahips too, but no merit cum scholarship is there. Scholarship provided are based of caste or financial status.

Campus Life

Annual fest like abhiyaan and technical fest like mesa and arise are celebrated round the years. We have days like traditional days and corporate days and stuff, College participates in youth festival every year and there sure are a few winners.

Admission

There were only a few college in Mumbai, and i wanted to stay in mumbai only. This one had high cutoff that fit me. Wanted in ICT, did not make it there due to my JEE score. The admissions process is simple for my college and the people help you well during admissions

Faculty

We only have 8 professors dor chemical department. All professors except for Dr. Bagal and Dr. Sona i did not like. Reason is mainly because they dont have enough knowledge about what they are teaching. Exams are easy and the pattern is as per mumbai university

Night Life

we have cafeteria and library. not only that but every department has there own library. since we also have dental and architecture buildings in the same college the campus is pretty big and a lot of hangout places are there

Best Engineering college, excellent placement, and best opportunity.

Placement Experience:

Placement are best of D Y Patil College of engineering and technology kolhapur. After 6 th semester you are eligible to do internship and give interview for job offers. Highest package offered by company is 64 LPA and it is Adobe . Minimum packages offered are 6-7 LPA . approximately 70-80% of students get placed on campus. Companies that come to college for hiring are Adobe, juspay, infosys, gpay, google, amazon, microsoft etc

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for campus plaecments from the 6th sem onwards. Companies that visited ourr college are TCS ,EagleBite , Mahindra, Softanic, etc. Around 10 to 15 offers were made . HIghest package was 7 lpa lowest packsge was 2.5 lpa average package was 3 lpa Profiles include software developer, business analyst,product developer etc I plan to pursue a job as a software developer.

Insights of DYPIU

Placement Experience:

Since i am just a first year student, i dont have any real knowledge of placements here. So i will just tell you what i am aware about. Talking to few of the seniors made me realise that placements are not that strong here. But still the average package is 5LPA and the highest package offered is 27LPA. Percentage of students getting placed is not much. My plans are of trying for off campus placements if not placed on campus.

I choose this college especially for mechanical engineering, because it has really good placement for our branch. Another reason why I applied here is that it is near my house location. In Navi Mumbai locality Father agnels college is better than our college. If you didn't get admission in father agnels college than you can apply in our college for admission. For admission you can give jee and MHT cet exams. The eligibility criteria for MHT cet is 70 percentile for mechanical engineering, 80-85 percentile for information technology and 90-95 percentile for computer science....Read More

My best college

If we talk about the engineering department, the college are is very small. We have architecture and dental college too, but space wise the engineering college is very small. The benches in every class are not at all maintained. All the labs are air-conditioned and well-maintained. The college is neat and clean, and you will see greenery everywhere.
