What Students Say?
Likes
- the campus is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!
- there are so many study spots and a brand new library too, there are total 3 libraries if i have it right
Dislikes
- they are heavy on peace education which seems irrelevant at some point
- several events are there which are assigned credits so that also feels useless
Course Curriculum Overview
they push us towards working more hard to learn coding, several teachers here emphasize on learning the subject instead of mugging it up just for sake. they are heavy on practical learning, i spent 60% of my time in sem 3 in practical labs learning coding only. teachers can maybe improve in taking revision of students. exams timing is well planned this sem, we have 2-3 days average study gap for each paper
Internships Opportunities
dont know because not yet applied for internship but my classmate is doing internship in our bulding (kashyap) only so extraordinary students have intership opportunities. even though we are in semester 3 my classmate got internship opportunity.
Placement Experience
students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. companies and offers made not specified. highest package was 51 lakhs and average package is 7 lakhs. as seen on website the percentage placements was above 95%. after degree i will do job for 2 years then go study abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees for my course (BTech CSE) is 355000, scholarship depends on marks of mhtcet and jee-mains, and no fees is not increasing. year wise i am paying 355000. and no SC ST OBC quota is there in MITWPU, everyone is charged the same amount of fees unless they are fulfilling the scholarship criteria. only scholarship based on mhtcet and jee-mains available in which u have to also maintain certain cgpa throughout the course then only scholarship will be continued
Campus Life
RIDE, aarohan festival are some of the major events that take place every year. from time to time there is a fair in college campus which has food and stuff to buy. wide range of books available in 3 libraries present in campus, they have their online website too where u can get the book. smartboard, projectors, 360 degrees seats, air conditioning, all there in classroom. washroom present at every floor.
Admission
i chose this college because their placement percentage is high and it is a reputed college in abroad countries too. other colleges dont have infrastructure, or in this case good labs to practice or study. its not that i couldnt make it to other colleges, i did get acceptance letters from a lot of other colleges but at the time mitwpu seemed like a good option for academics and placements. admission is done through their website and u get acceptance/rejection letter on your mail.
Faculty
faculties are approachable thats for sure and there are educated teachers here. i cannot name the teachers as that doesnt sound right but yeah there are 1-2 teachers such that they dont know abt their subject only. in sem 1 and 2 there were 5-6 exams, im in sem 3 currently and there are 4 papers only. as i said marking system is a bit strict here in mit and students have to work really hard to get good marks as compared to sppu colleges. if backlog issued then that can be cleared in next sem and if cleared then it wont show on marksheet
Night Life
mitwpu is situated in a very happening busy area, just outside the college gate you will find numerous cafes and stores and just a few steps more you will find a metrocity sports club which has gym too. mitwpu has hostel also but im not a hostel student so no idea about it much. i dont hangout much so i dont know
