Frank Overview of SRMIST

All thoughts are positive about my college. Every college will provide you with all facilities but it depends only on your usage. Similarly our college also offers the same. If you want to join in our college you can come & get alloted.

Course Curriculum is planned in such a way that all the basics will be thought in 1&2nd year Core Subject will start from 2year-2nd semester onwards. Talking about exam structure Each Semester has 3MID'S ( Cycle test),1 Model Lab,1University Practical ,1Semester. For theory subject there will be 3Cycle tests . For Cycle test 1 it is for 10Marks Similarly Cycle test 2&3 for 15marks. For every individual subject there will be 50marks as internal out of this 40M from 3cycletest's will be taken & 5+5 for Assignment & Surprise test will be taken into account. Semester is for 50M. On adding 50+50=100M. Student has to get atleast 50%M to clear a subject.

Talking about placements 65/90 students will be placed. There is huge Job opportunities. For internship we have to visit any of the company to complete internship.SRM is Famous for placing highest number of students every year so their is no doubt in getting placed but you must maintain good CGPA.

For every semester different departments with comeup with different workshops & events ensuring the good student respective. Recently our college had organised events like FLASHMOB,STRINGZ,TEXUS,DJ NIGHT

To study in SRM One has to pay minimum of 4Lakh/year including college fee & semester fee. Total expenses at the end of B.Tech will reach around 18-19lakh. It may increase or decrease depending upon the campus you choose

Our college offers Scholarship for merit students a sum of 1lakh every year depending upon their Performance in Semesters.To avail scholarship student must perform fabulous in every exam. The number of students applied for scholarship will be shortlisted and finalized.

Only Theoretical knowledge doesn't make a Perfect Engineer. Practical knowledge plays a vital role in today's scenario.For every Laboratory there are Lab incharge to clarify your doubts so you will pass out with good Practical knowledge. Extracurricular activities like sports depends on your personal interest.

Firstly No Ragging is allowed if it happens severe actions will be taken. Senior students will be very friendly but only one thing we have to respect them. Not every student has same behaviour it depends on how you treat them

All Students who completes their secondary education can get admitted into SRM by this two methods 1. Through SRMJEE which is formally called as SRM entrance exam, inorder to attend this exam one has to pay a sum of 1000(approx) as application fee which is available in their official website www.srmuniv.ac.in or you can apply through offline from your secondary colleges. After paying application fee and submitting to them they will inform your Exam Venue with date &time at that time you have to go to your respective exam centre and attend the exam.It is completely an ONLINE EXAM.Syllabus & Marks Weightage for this exam will be attached along with application form.If you attend this exam and score a good rank definitely you will get admission in this college branches depending upon your rank. 2nd Process through Donation Quota , i don't suggest this process to students because even if you want to join through this process you have to attend SRMJEE entrance exam it is mandatory for all but alloting seat doesnot depend on your rank. For donation quota you have to pay extra amount yearly when compared to other process. Inorder to avail this process you have to visit your desired campus firstly & you have to talk to the management regarding this.

For Proper education a good teacher is needed. In SRM Faculty are selected in such a way that they all are doing fabulous in their subject dealing. For 1&2nd year students Assistance Professor will be alloted for 3&4th year students Professor will be alloted. All Faculty has different way of subject dealing so we can't judge anyone here
