Honest review of SVVV

The specific aspect that made me choose B.tech CSE was lockdown where i saw every other field's person is struggling in their job but CSE person is working from home in corona time. The curriculum was the best part of the college as other college's teach common subject to every branch in their 1st year but here they started to teach core cse subjects from 1st year which was plus point for us. There were 3 written exams. Mid sem I , mid sem II and end sem. Mid sem are like unit exams. There 2 exam for practicals internal and external. They used give 6 month to each semester. They teach for 3 months and then the rest 2 month there are test's and 1 month holiday in 1 year. There is no requirement for improvement.

From 6th semester one can be eligible for on campus placements. Companies which came in our college were accenture, tcs, hexaware, impetus, yash, digivalet, flipr. Offers which they gave was accenture gave 4.6 lpa, tcs ninja gave 3.36lpa, tcs digital gave 7lpa, digivalet gave 4lpa, hexaware gave 4lpa, impetus gave 5lpa, flipr gave 3lpa. In my class there were only 5-10 students got placed on campus including me. Highest package that was offered in on campus companies was 9lpa that too by tcs prime. I got placed on campus in accenture.

The yearly fee that i paid was 90,000 which has to be paid in installment of semester. I paid 45,000 for each semester. There is a scholarship scheme for OBC, SC/ST where in my class OBC students used to get 29,000 yearly and SC/ST students used to get 80,000 yearly as scholarship. I paid the same 90,000 yearly for my 4 years of B.tech . The fee was increased for the juniors which ended up in 1,20,000 yearly for them. Bus facility is excluded from the fee. If you have to avail the bus facility then you have to pay 14,000 - 16,000 yearly. Tution fee was 39,000 for each semester and development fee was 6,000 for each semester.

There were fest in the college. Some tech events and some fest for fun. There is a library in the college providing variety of books for 0 cost. The library is well maintained in the college and has spacious sitting. Facilities were good in college like wifi was okiesh and the projectors were good and the benches were good too. There was only single sport which was basketball and apart from that there were 0 ground for any other sports. There were many clubs inside the college which indeed impacted students life by increasing their confidence and making their own connections with other people.

I didn't applied for other colleges. I just visited swami vivekanand college and then i made decision to get admission in SVVV. I didn't got rejection swami vivekanand college. It was just my sister's friend got placed from SVVV which made my family members decision to apply in SVVV college. There is an exam name SVET for SVVV which can be given to take admission there but without giving that exam you can get into SVVV through your JEE percentile. Even though i had less percentile i got admitted directly.

I was in IT department even though i enrolled in CSE and there were around 120-140 students in IT department overall. There were 3 sections in iT department and some of the subjects were common for three of us sections. There were around 10-15 faculties in IT department. Some faculties were good and some were not. There are 5 theory subject and 5 practical subject in each semester. You would have internal and external for practical subjects which were easy. There are 5 theory exams which are kind of medium level. There is restriction of attendance too. If you have attendance between 60%-75% then you can add medical crtificate otherwise you may get detained in the subject for having less than 60% attendance in that subject. There was a subject Theroy of computation (TOC) where 25-30 students got failed in my class out of 50. There were 7-9 students in my class who got year back.

There were no gym inside or outside the college as the college is situated on indore-ujjain road where there are not enough places to roam around. There are small cafes in front of college. Campus timing is 8am to 5pm. There is a hostel which located outside the college premises. Locality is safe to roam around at night but as it is highway there are many vehicles on the road.
