Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum includes both the subjects of BA and LLB. Teaching methods include classroom teaching. We are assigned with different tasks such as writing research papers, conducting flip classes, group presentations for experiencial learning. The classes starts from 9:30am and continues till 5:30pm. There are also other classes included in the time table such as tutorial class and case study class for doubt clearing , discussing contemporary issues and case laws.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of Adamas which is called the Career Development Cell is quite good and very active in providing placement. The placement of other departments are also good. The companies that visit the campus include nykaa, Flipkart, Amazon etc. Last year students are eligible to sit for placement drive. My plans after completion of my degree is to pursue litigation so placement is not a factor that I consider.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the batch 2022-27 is rupees eighty one thousand per semester. The university also provide girl child scholarship of rupees five per semester thousand to every female student. The semester fee remains the same for all the ten semester but the fees is incesed every year for the new batches.

Campus Life

4

The campus life at Adamas University is very good. All the classrooms have the facility of projector and AC. The university has different libraries namely Central Library and Law library. There are various labs for different departments according to their needs. Adamas is very active in sports. It has its own football and cricket team. Recently a inter departmental women's cricket was organised by the university. The annual fest of Adamas is named Adinova which takes places in the month of February every year.

Admission

I applied for Amity University, Kolkata for BA LLB and also at Delhi University for BA in political science. I could not get into Delhi University due to high cut off. But I got the admission letter from Amity University, Kolkata. I didn't took admission in amity university for it being far from my home and its fee is also much higher. The admission process of Adamas is quite simple. You can either apply online or can visit the campus. I applied online by paying 1000 rupees for the prospectus. For admission you have to give the university's entrance test based on which you can also get scholarship. When I took admission there were no mandate for any other exam such as CLAT for the eligibility of a candidate. You just need to have cleared 10+2 from any recognised board.

Faculty

3

Overall the facilities are good, helpful and supportive. Though there are times when there are less facilities because of vacancies. Also few facilities are not specialized in the subject that they are given to teach. But most of the facilities are really good at teaching and hold in dept knowledge and experience in the subject. The faculty student relationship is very good and the faculties are approachable. You can reach out to the faculties outside class hours as well. They are always there to help and guide. There is only one exam that is the end semester exam in every semester. The difficult level of the exam is based on the faculty. Generally the difficulty level is average. There are few students who fail in the exam. They have to reappear in the exam the next semester along with the semester exam.

Night Life

4

The campus has many places to hang out. The campus is one of the largest campus of East India. It has a gym, cafeteria such as Nescafe, Baskin Robins and Cafe Coffee Day, Grocery store, resturant, several sitting areas and lush green grounds. There are different hostel buildings for boys and girls. Different events are organised for the hostellers. For going out of the campus the hostellers require the approval of the dean of their respective departments and the warden of the hostel. Outside food is not allowed except on Thursdays. The food for hostellers is served in the food court. The night life in and around the campus is very good. There are many cafes and places to hangout outside the campus as well. The locality is safe. Many students live on pg and rent nearby.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd say the BBA LLB curriculam si quite relevent and comprehensive. the blend of business management and legal studies really made me choose this course because it gives a holistic understanding of both fields. The curriculum is pretty practical and prepares us well for real- world applications like internships and moot courts and also sets a strong foundation dor further studies in law. In term of Imporvements i think the curruculum could benefit from more interactive workshops and practical training sessions and somtimes a bit more hands on experience and indusry exposure help bridge the gap between thoery and practice. Regarding exams, I find the frequency and timing are well balanced. the semester exams come at a good pace and whike some subjects can be challenging they are definately manageable with consisnent study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my collage courses curriculum conduct by Calcutta university, every collage who affiliated with Calcutta university follow Calcutta university curriculum. I choosen BA LLB because in ba llb every semester you learn new law subject and they help you better understand because you have five year times you can learn every law subject very breifly way. I think the curriculum of my law subject is enough to prepare me for real world application because you read every law subject who is important for your real world experience that is the reason i choose this course. I think they need to change repetive topic in semester because of tenure of course i repeated few topic of my subject i think they need to change the few topic of subject they are so repeated. Every year two semester exam i give and semester season is june and December , in june semester exam student have very less time to prepare for exam i think this is a difficult for students for prepare exam in a short time.

Tab management subjects makes a mess for me there are 7 subjects in management which I think doesn't have any applications in the real world and its like I heavy load to us in our curriculum but in speaking of the law subjects there are hard subjects but frequency in the timings of the classes make it very easy and allows us to perform well in the exams

My college has a 98% placement rate. As I'm in 2nd year, I haven't been placed yet, but as I look at my seniors, they are definitely well placed. The average package ranges from 3.5LPA - 3.8LPA. The highest package was 36LPA reported in 2024-2025.

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing that I love about the curriculum is that we need to study in depth. Our syllabus contains most basic to really professional level stuff which really help us prepare for real life experiences and further academic pursuits. The only change i would like is more practical experiences that would be helpful.
