Likes

the campus here is very beautiful and large filled with lots of trees and have a very open and peaceful environment.
the professors are all very qualified and Phd holders with a abundance of knowledge.
the social life is top notch here its very easy to interact to any person here either its a junior or senior and all of them are very helpful.

Dislikes

the placement is not so good here so students have to prepare for govt. exams on there on and place for it
the infrastructure is very old here which is more than 50 yrs which should be repaired.

Course Curriculum Overview

the course is totally based on Agricultural practice and Agricultural produce which is eventually consumed by every person. the frequency of the exam are a bit harsh because the exams are conducted without any gap which make students very stessed during exams.

Internships Opportunities

there are various company which are related to agriculture come every year for giving internship to the students of the 7th semester some of the names of the company are Mahindra and Mahindra, IFFCO, KPMG, BAYER, Cengenta, TATA Agro, Amul, and other FPOs.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year - 8840 2nd year - 5886 3rd year - 5886 4th year - 5886 Tuition fees - 1000 Registration fees - 200 lab fees for 1st year only - 1100 My batchmates from SC,ST categories pay half of the Tuition fees. Merit scholarship is given to the top 8 students of each semester.

Campus Life

annualy in my college there are various fest has been organised either it is by the students or by the college authority some of the examples are Birsa Jayanti, Teacher's day, Kisan mela, Saraswati puja, Christmas gathering etc. there are more than 2000 books in the college library and all different king to news papers and journals are available. the classrooms are equiped with smart boards and projectors

Hostel Facilities

the hostel fees is 300 for every semester the meal quality is quite good and charged upto 2500-3500 accordingly the registration is done by the authority itself when you take admission in the college all is included with the college fee as this is residential college.

Hostel Fee: INR 600 per year

Admission

to get admission in this collage i have to give the JCECE exam which is conducted by jharkhand state govt. as this is a govt. college. the admission process in this college is through exam and then the top rankers mostly upto 150 rank get admission in this college and the councelling is done through offline mode where the document submition is done.

Faculty

here the number of faculty is more than 150 and for each year there are around 50 students, the faculty to student relationship is very approachable. there are 1 mid term exam 1 practical exam and 1 end term exam from semester 1 to semester 6 after that there are learning programs like RAWE, Industrial and ELP. where report are subbmitted and presentation are given by the students.

Night Life

the college gate provide a great relief from the stressful day of class the hostel timing for girls hostel is from 5 AM to 8 PM and for boys there is no particular times for in and out the gates are always open.

College have placement cell it provides the placement upto 5 -6 kakh but no. of students getting placement is quit low only 20% student get placement by the college rest prepare for government exam or go for Higher studies

Best College for Agricultural Science

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. There is also internships provided during the last semester which is a good oppotunity for placement. Each year 8 to 10 companies or more visits for the placements. Many students are interested in higher degrees after graduation, so they also go for post graduation and doctorate.

This course has high job security and high vacancy in India. Ratio 1:60 teacher: student. All faculty are highly educated with phd degrees. Every 6-month semester exam goes on and it was very tough to pass the exam

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for placement in the 8th Semester. You have on campus as well as off campus placement. Students had grabbed good placements in various private firms mostly banking with an average package of 4-6 LPA. Since I am a first year student. I don't know much about placement and Internships. But you will get more opportunities in this university than any other agricultural university in this state. And in the coming future, the demand will increase for agriculture graduates. Most students who don't take placements prepare for JRF and higher studies or prepare for PCS and various vacancies in both government and private firms providing good posts and salaries. There are many more options to explore than you know now. You will get to know many more options from your professors and seniors.

From the 7th semester campus placement start. Companies like nestle, Unilever cames. The highest package is 12 lakh per annum. The lowest package is 10 lakh per annum. 66% of students get placement. My plan for MBA in agribusiness further.

Best College for Agricultural Science

I chose this college as it is the best one for this course. The quality of education, the faculty, the environment, etc. all are very good. The admission to this college takes place through a state level entrance examination JCECE which is conducted each year by the JCECEB. All the students of science stream are eligible for this examination. The cutoff for admission is around 70 to 75% for this course. The admission process is quite simple for any of the four Agriculture Colleges under Birsa Agriculture University. You just have to complete your 12th with Physic, Chemistry and Biology/Maths as your main subjects. And your 12th score should be at least 50% for the General and EWS category. Based on this, you can apply online for JCECEB Examination on the JCECE portal. The application comes in between July- August and exams are conducted in September in CBT mode. Online Result and the first three counselling processes are done within a month. You have to go to Ranchi Agriculture College, Ranchi for your document verification and admission to the allotted college, on the same day. Age limit - Max 22 yrs for General. Cut off - Selection cut-off has remained between 65-90 till 2k19 but in 2020 it has increased to 105 out of 150 marks.
