Course Curriculum Overview

2

the curriculum also varies from course to course. For Graphics and Gaming course in Computer Science Engineering at CU the course curriculum is not up to date, there are different reasons for this like lack of faculty, lack of resources, etc. Overall the curriculum was not good for my course as we just got to learn 2D Game development in just out 4th semester after that we didn't have any subject that would teach us about game development. Same with the Graphic design as well 3rd semester was the one where they taught us about graphic design also in mostly Figma and Canva. No Blender, Maya, or Unreal has been taught to us in these 4 years.

Internships Opportunities

4

Mostly all the internships are provided by the company which came for placement which is around 15-20k easily per month. Other than that there is also a Samsung Prism internship where you will collaborate with Samsung and make a project under their guidance based on your performance you will be given 2 months internship in Samsung after the completion of your project in PRISM. The Samsung internship gives you 50k per month and gives a significant boost to your resume. Also, there is a project expo which is held every semester where many company officials come and see your project. That is a good way to showcase your project to industry professionals and get an internship or funding from the companies directly.

Placement Experience

4

The companies coming to the college for placements are overwhelmingly positive as of now for the 2021-2025 batch more than 2000 students have been placed and around 1500 Engineering students have been placed. The placement ratio of the college is good and the average package is around 4-4.25 lpa which is quite ok for the fresher. the employability rate of the college is good as the college is quite a renowned private college in India and has a good ranking worldwide. The number of companies visiting this semester is around 200 in just about 6 months and the numbers will increase in the upcoming time. The training sessions have also been given to the students in the University through the DCPD department to the students who are interested in the placements. Proper camps are organized to train students in their aptitude and soft skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee varies from course to course. The current fee for computer science engineering is around 1.2 lac per semester. However, the college provides many scholarships to the students through the CUCET exam or based on the board examination results. The scholarship can be up to 100%; in the minimum case, at least 10% of the scholarship is provided to every student. The catch is that you must maintain a 7.5 CGPA to retain the scholarship otherwise it would be waved off. The fees of the course do not increase it remains consistent through out the course.

Campus Life

5

The overall campus life in the university is good. They organize different events regularly for the students to enjoy. The shops inside the university are in heavy numbers so you can hang out almost anywhere in the university. The campus is great to have a walk and you will find a good amount of greenery on the university campus. There is some strictness for the attendance in the college otherwise there are many different things you can do in the college. They provide immense opportunities to the students, so you can follow your passion here. They teach different types of art forms as well and they have different grounds for students to play sports as well. The gymnasium is provided in hostels as well for the students.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facility is good in the University but it is hard to find the hostel if you are taking admission late as too many people try to avail of hostel and they have a limited number of rooms available. But other than that the rooms are good. Everyday cleaning is done and the food is not that bad as compared to the hostel of other colleges. The nightlife is great, you can roam freely inside the hostel or play sports in the park which is made for students. There is also an open theatre in the Boys hostel where events are organized and it is fun to watch and enjoy. There are also some TV rooms in the hostel where you can request to watch some sports. Also, for every 2 hostel buildings there is a Gymnasium available. The timings are accordingly. Also, the Breakfast on Sunday is the main attraction as it has Chole Bhature which is most popular among the students.

Admission

I chose this college because it was the only college that provided me the courses in Graphics and Gaming along with computer science engineering which was a new concept for me. Also, the fee of the course was more affordable than most of the other private colleges. One of the other reasons is that I haven't filled out the forms of any other universities as they were either highly-priced or their placements were not very impressive

Faculty

3

The faculty of the course varies depending on the course you have chosen. In my case there is a shortage of faculty in the college also the resources provided were not up to date the gaming labs, VR labs, etc are not present in the university. You have to depend on yourself for most of the part. The faculty will teach you the subject through ppt. even if they too don't know anything about the subject. The end sem examinations happen about 4 months after the start of the semester and every month they conduct the mid-sem test for the students. You will get around 1 month to complete 1 unit of a subject. So the the semester is fast-paced.

Night Life

5

The nightlife in the college is great.YOu can stroll on the campus for quite a long time. The cafeterias on the campus are open till 11:00 pm. Although there a restrictions for the girls. They have to enter the hostel after 8 pm. But, it increases if any significant event is happening in the university. The libraries are open 24/7 in the college, you can study as much as you want and there are no restrictions to that. Hostels also have cafeterias where you can shop for anything. The closing oof time of those shops depends on the shopkeepers. Some shops are closed till 10:00 pm some are open till 2:00 am based on the number of students coming to the shop.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
