Course Curriculum Overview
Course is pretty simple, for those who are tech geeks and are most in the field of technology and computers, it's made for them. Since I'm from the computer background and I love working on computers and technological things I opted out for this course. The college conducts practicals for the same depending on the schedule of the college. Also workshops and various programs are conducted in order to make students attach to real world. I won't be suggesting any improvements in teaching methods and course curriculum. The frequency of the exams are pretty fair since there's lot of time for preparation also difficulty level is very decent too.
Internships Opportunities
No idea about the internship but I have provided the info about packages and companies which are currently hiring in our college. I didn't persue an internship since I'm at first year of my college. Et
Placement Experience
Not sure about which semester students become eligible, but from the 4th year of the course, students are eligible for the campus placements. Some of the companies recently visited with the offers and package provided are as follows: 1. Asset works: 10 LPA 2. WSETEK: 2.4 LPA 3. i4t : 3 LPA 4. TCS: 7.5 LPA 5.TCS: 3.5 LPA 6. Sankey Solutions: 4LPA 7. Orange Business: 5LPA The highest package offered in the college is 10 LPA which is recently in Asset Works whereas average is about 4-5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed in my opinion would be around 50-60 percent. Also my plans after getting the degree would be securing a job with great package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology in my college is about 1 lakh 27 thousand per year but since I applied for ebc scholarship I got admission for 73 thousand in the same course. Also the college recently got A grade so the future fees might differ.
Campus Life
The events are little less compared to other colleges, but the student council conducts the events in our college. The recent events that were held were, Garba nights, Diwali program and the upcoming is Freshers party. For sports there is dedicated two volleyball courts in the college also a turf for playing cricket. College conducts various workshops and social events which includes technology and other stuffs.
Admission
When the CAP round was going on, I applied for most of the colleges which were nearby to me. Some from Navi Mumbai and 3 colleges from Thane including mine. I have 83.6 percentile in MHT-CET exam and based on that I got allotted in this college in 2nd round of CAP. I had remaining two options for college in Thane the first A.P Shah Institute of Technology and the other one VPM's College. But I chose kc college over both of them because they were far away from my house and it's routes were very complicated. So when I got allotted in this college I freezed my seat and took hassle free admission in this college. It is a decent college in Thane for those who are scoring average and stay nearby Thane and want college nearby.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 50:50, faculties are quite approachable and they solve your doubts. I've not faced any difficulties with the faculty in the first year of my engineering. Best faculties in the college are Dr. Pallavi Chopade, Prof. Swati Panvalkar, Dr Sweta Paliwal and lastly Ajay Mishra. Before the semester, 2 internal assessments are conducted in which they provide you a question bank so considering it the exams are quite easy to crack. Fail ratio is almost negligible.
Night Life
There's a college canteen which is decent not too good and not so bad, also there's library, public area outside the library, gym which will be opened soon, gymnasium room etc. there's no hostel facility in our college. The locality is moderately safe to roam around at night
