Experience at kiit

The bcom curriculum attracted me with its comprehensive coverage of business fundamentals like financial accounting,economics and taxation offering a solid foundation for both professional careers and further studies.

The major company who took students for internship in kiit was high radius. For the first two months the stipend was 0 in which you have to just make ppt within the given time. And after that the ones who performed good without any delay in submission were offered a paid internship of 6 months in which rupees 17000 was paid to them every month. And those who performed good during this training phase were offered a ppo of rupees 8.75 lakh per annum.

From 5th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Various number of companies come in kiit for placements for example TCS,High radius, Deloitte ,EY,fintech, finocontrol, Tech Mahindra and many more . The highest salary offered was 9 lakhs per annum and the average package was 3 lakh . The percentage of students getting placements were around 80 percent. I got placed in EY with a salary of rupees 5 lakh per annum.

The year wise fees for BCom in kiit for the batch 2021-2024 was about 60000 i.e. 30000 per semester. And the course joining fees was 75000. That makes a total amount of rupees 255000. A examination fee of rupees 1000 was also charged in every semester. The amenities provided for joining kiit was that you are provided with a laptop and free bus services if you are a localite. After 2022 batch the price for the course was started increasing and now for the year 2024 the total course fees in about 950000.

In the month of February kiit celebrates a college fest which is known as kiit carnival. This is a 20 day event in which various types of stalls are allotted to students to sell their products or food. The whole college is decorated very beautifully and there are 3 star nights in which big personalities come for concert in kiit. During my time at kiit sunidi chauhan, samay Raina, nucleya, Mohammad irfan and Jubin Nautiyal came to kiit. I can say kiit is the best college if you are looking a career at sports . There are 5 students from kiit who made to Paris olympics 2024. There are 2 cricket stadiums. 8 basketball courts including 1 indoor wooden court . There are 2 outdoor swimming pool and one indoor swimming pool and many more things for sports. There are various types of clubs in kiit run by the students of kiit sone of which are khwaab which looks after the development of the kids who are not financially strong . Krya Kuber which looks after tha budgets required for every event.

I applied to ravenshaw university but there were reservations for sc/st/obc which makes it difficult for the general category to take admissions over there I got 85 percentage in 12th but still was not able to get admission in ravenshaw wherever for admission in kiit we have to give an entrance exam of kiit which is called as kiitee and I got 80 percentile in that and got admission in kiit . The minimum percentile required is 60

The faculty to student ratio is about 40 students per faculty and they are very supportive. My favourite faculty was Himanshu Agarwal sir. His attitude was very very friendly and the way of teaching was phenomenal if you listen properly in the class you are not needed to study anything after you reach home. Talking about the faculties I don't like were the guest faculties who come for just one semester they used to be very rude but it's okay as they come only for one semester. There are two exams in every semester and the exams are easy if you study properly.

There is a 1 km stretch outside kiit for food . There are various stalls where you can have food there are also many cafeteria where you can chill with your friend and there you can find everything you want to eat if you want to have pizza there is domino's , Pizza Hut, lapinoz pizza if you want to have burger there is Burger King and two local burger outlets and. If you want to have coffee there is also a Starbucks. My favourite hangout spot was cafe deliciouzo which is located in campus 6 . It was our go to spot as the food was really tasty ,affordable and the service was also fast. The famous hangout spot was in campus 6 there is a fountain in between a big fish pond .
