What Students Say
Likes
- Placements are quite good when compared to some of the other colleges
- placement training is and the trainers that are experienced
Dislikes
- Faculty here are not very helpful and neither are they knowledgeable. there are very few lecturers who have good knowledge in the subject.
- feels like a shool to be honest since we have many restrictions
Course Curriculum Overview
being completely honest there are very few students who actually study and gain useful/practical knowledge from the course curriculum. most of us just study before the exams to pass. i wouldn't totally blame the faculty or the course curriculum but they do play a role in it. it depends on us at the end of the day how we're making the most out of the 4 years that we go to college for.
Placement Experience
i would say the placements are quite good. students are eligible for campus placements from their 4th year 1st sem onwards. companies like tcs, cognizant, atlassian, infosys, capgemini, paypal etc visit us. around 70% students are placed. highest is 35lpa and the average package is 6 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
year wise fee that we pay is 1,30,000, there is scholarship provided for some students. there are additional fees for library which is 5000, for placement training it's 20000, exam fee per sem is around 1400.
Campus Life
there's pulse that is a concert held once in every 4 years. one of the yearly cultural fest is pragnya which also has technical aspects. and hackathons, events conducted by technical clubs and some cultural alubs are conducted quite often.
Admission
i haven't applied to many colleges before i got into this, i didn't have a choice but to join here. didn't really know much about it before i joined since it wasn't my decision to go here. i honestly just joined cause it's close to me in terms of distance.
Faculty
faculty in my dept are quite friendly and most of them are approachable. if you are good at academics or not is secondary just try not to get a bad impression among them. some are strict and some are not it depends. coming to exams, you'll mostly get a set of important questions a couple of days before the exam and it's not very hard to score well in mid terms. the sem exams are of moderate level just need to know what to study and you'll pass easily. on an average around 2-4 people fail from each section.
Night Life
haven't spent a lot of time in college after academic hours but we have gym facilities, football court, ground and there an indoor game area too. the college is basically built on a hill so it's quite scenic. no many hangout places i would say. the locality is pretty safe to roam around night i think.
