Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is more practical based which is a great advantage as it it makes you professional ready for work. The curriculum is 60% theory and rest practical. The subjects are all computer based and easily manageable.

Internships Opportunities

1

The internship opportunities is one of the disadvantage part of college. There are only less opportunities available and that too are provided by some local companies that too aof some alumnis. This is a downside of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is semester wise and it it is ?18500 for one sem. Which makes it ?37000 for one year. Which makes a total of around ?115000 for the entire 3 years. The scholarships available are less and is limited for some people.

Campus Life

5

There are many festivals held in the college throughout the year. Infact each department contests atleast one festival each year. Some of them are eclicta, skilla , etc. The fine arts festival is one of the biggest held in college.

Admission

I hadn't applied to any other colleges than this because this is one of the best colleges in Kerala and getting in here was my dream. The admission is of two types first management seat based and merit seat based. For merit you should have atleast more than 90% to get admission.

Faculty

5

There are enough faculty available for the students. The faculties are really friendly with us students. There are sem end exams each semester for six sem. And all the exams are manageable for average studying students.

Night Life

2

There are enough cafeterias around the college but none is open during night. And because the Calicut city is around 16 km from the college it isn't that easily accessible. Swalty restaurant is one of the best cafes around college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum had so many unnecessary subjects that had no connection with our courses like psychology, zoology etc. They could have avoided that. Jewellery Designing students also had to study advanced minerology . Which in my opinion was a bit unnecessary. Apart from that i learnt to improve my drawing and rendering skills. Learnt about new types and also the history of jewellery Designing. Tools and Machinery used.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Usually, in our coarse, we follow updated curriculum about food processing technology. We do also have food analysis on our practical classes 3 days per week. I have chosen this coarse because I believe that food processing technology era is growing drastically and we can see lots of opportunities in the same field itself. Improvement can be made in the curriculum, so that they can also include food laws , importance of food in india and world wide so that students will get to know more about the syllabus and food processing technology. The frequency of timing that we get inbetween the semester exams is about 4-5 months which is pretty enough to cover all the portions that they have taken and we can calmly prepare for our end semester and exams very well.
