What Students Say

Likes

It’s infrastructure from outside is good and teaching staff is also good
The shops for eating have so many varieties
They hold mang events which keeps us entertained

Dislikes

They didn’t turned on the ac in summer for at least 1 month
Food for hostel is not good. They made it tastier in starting but later on it was trash
They are too strict for attendance and marks

Course Curriculum Overview

This university is specialised in engineering. They were quite confident for their students and so many companies come there for jobs and they are one of the best private universities in india for engineering so thats why i guess !

Internships Opportunities

Big companies like amazon netflix IBM etc come to the university for students and hold placement wxams for capable students and many students gets good packages and if you work hard and smart in this university your future is gaurranted

Placement Experience

They offer 100% package placement but for good packages we have to do hardwork more than anyone else not only hardwork but smartwork they do offer placements and internships from 3rd year ( 6th semester)

Fees and Financial Aid

Normally fees is 136000rs per semester ( 6 month ) and i am paying 105000rs because i got scholarship of 25% from their test called CUCET and they offer scholarships according to the rankings in their entrance test and your 12th class percentage. They offer 20% scholarship for students who got above 85% in 12th class and 10% for above 80%

Campus Life

Campus life is good infrastructure from outside is also so good but classrooms and bathrooms are not that great as they should be according to the university's title and taste of water is also good and food in cafeteria is also good

Admission

I applied for chitkara University but afterwards i thought that no Chandigarh university has more good reviews than chitkara and their average package was also greater than chitkara and companies which come to Chandigarh univerSitu were more in numbers as compared to that of chitkara

Faculty

The faculty is actually good in this university teachers are wuite knowledgeable and their personalities are also good they were lenient for students who get good marks and sometimes let us go after marking attendance and also increases marks sometimes so they are wuite good

Night Life

The events like conserts and dance parties they all happen in night and they are super fun and campus is decorated beautifully when the event is happening and there are so many people in night so they make it entertaining in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Placement Experience:

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
