4

I have completed my summer internship from Graduate Society in Web designing and Development for 3months .although I have not received stipend but it was a great opportunity for me to grow professionally and gain experience.I have come to know about this particualr internship by the senior at SVNIT who has similar interest as me.

Placement Experience

4

Placements at SVNIT are very great so far. From the 7th semester that is the first sem of final year, students are eligible to sit for campus placements.Great companies like Deloitte,Infosys are visited for CSE students and companies like Ashok Leyland are visited for Mechanical students. As far as I know , the highest package of the previous academic year was above 50Lakhs per annum and average ranges at 21 Lakhs per annum and minimum rranges at 8-9 Lakhs per annum for the CSE students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) offers a comprhenssive fees structure for the five year integrated course in Mathematics, with provisions for various categories and financial aid to ensure inclusivity and accessibility. Year Wise Fee structure The semester wise tuition fee is ?31,250 totaling ?3,12,000 over ten semesters.Additional fees include ?7500 per semester per exams, library and medical services amounting to ?75,000.During the first semester, onr timr charges include ?3,000 per admission fees and ?15,000 as an Institute Devolepment Fees and $5,000 as refundable security deposit. In the semester ,a degree fee of ?2,500 and alumni fee of ?2000 are collected.Students opting for hostel accomdation pay an annual seat rent of ?6,000 totaling ?30,000 for the course.Single-occupacy rooms incur an extra ?4,500 annually.Fee strcture may vary for B.Tech students. Category Wise Fees Unlike some institutions,SVNIT does not offer fee waivers for the SC and ST students who are pursuing all the Integrated M.Sc courses that are belong to the Science such as Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry. They pay the same fees as students in general and OBC categories. But for the those students who want to pursue B.Tech courses , and students in SC and ST categories often recieve full tuition fee waivers. Scholorships Being a Integrated M.Sc in Mathematics student, I am not even eligible for the prestigious scholorship in India which is National Scholorships.Apart from the Integrated M.Sc courses those who are currently studying remaining B.Tech and M.Tech courses are available for the most of the scholorships that related to government and private sector as well.

Campus Life

5

Apart from the academic life SVNIT offers a beautiful and memorable campus life. The annual cultural fest at SVNIT is SPARSH usually held in the month of Feb or March. The Technical fest is MINDBEND,usually held in the month of January or February. And the Sports festival helds in the month of October or November.

Hostel Facilities

4

A hostel room is given for two students irrespective of the departments and states.Any Hostel room consists of study tables, chairs abd cupboards for each individual student. The review of meal quality and menu are not quite good.Registration process is very simple for hostel room as they give freedom to chose your desired room and it is available in online and offline process as well.

Admission

As I have secured a above average rank in my JEE,my rank lies in the closing rank of the SVNIT,I came to know about this college. As we already know that SVNIT falls into TIER 1 category when compared to all other Natioinal Institute of Technologies .Admission process of the SVNIT is very simple and there will be instructors during the admission process.

Faculty

4

Almost all of the faculty members at SVNIT are highly qualified ,with the most holding advanced degrees (Ph.D) from prestigious instituions in India and abroad. They bring a wealth of academic and research experience to the institute. Faculty members adopt a combination of traditional classroom teaching and modern methods like PowerPoint presentations, online simulations and industry oriented case studies. They help us to focus on practical applications ensures students can bridge the gap between theory and real world problems. There will be two types of exams at SVNIT.MID SEMESTER and END SEMESTER .Mid sem is coducted halfway through the semester, usually covering the syllabus taught upto that point.End sem held at end of the each semster covering the entire syllabus.SVNIT follows a Credit Based Grading System.Student are graded on a 10 point CGPA scale.

4

Except for the first yearites , all the students who become seniors have no in time for hostels. And night canteens are available at every hostels providing a variety of tasty dishes. And gym facility provided by the college is exceptional.College LAWNS and LAKE VIEW are the famous and most beautiful places of the campus to hangout.

I opted for BSc BIOTECHNOLOGY because of my interest. The field of Biotechnology was blooming. Faculty are good in number. One faculty for each subject. Wide ranges of subject are included in curriculum. BSc is in three subjects - BIOTECHNOLOGY, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE and HEALTH-HYGIENE. Teachers are generally freshers but they stay atleast for a year. Few teachers also have a doctoral degree and are expertise in their field. Timely assignments and seminars are conducted. 30% is internal marks. Semester internal as well as external exams are conducted. Exams are moderate. It covers esay to difficult questions. If well prepared, you can pass easily.
