Likes

environment is very good here lot of greenery and a very huge campus of college
there is different hostel for every year and each hostel have its own mess
sports facility is excellent here we can play every sports and equipments are easily available

Dislikes

there is no hospital or mall nearyby as it is almost at the edge of city
traffic management is not much good here
security is a little bit concerned for the hostel students and they can improve there hostels as well

faculty of this course is very nice some of the seniro professor have good knowledge and experience very well they help us explore outer world problems and relates the teaching with it almost once in 2 months

there step gndec skill training and entrepreneur placement cell where you can explore for self employement and other skills college have many links in companies where a student can do training or internship

Placement Experience

from 6th sem a student can apply for placements highest is approx 20lakhs average is near about 5lakhs i will preferr for higher studies there are lot companies like samsung ,tcs ,infosys , wipro,L&T, airtel etc

tuition fee for 1st year will be 130000 after that 100000 per year hostel fee yearly is approx 24000 registration fee is 2000 admission fee is 10000 sc/st. category fee yearli is approx 10000 there are so many scholarships for obc and minority oy for punjab students

Campus Life

anand utsav is one of the huge fest happens in college in march technical fests are tech fests and more there is projectors in almost every classroom and with good infrastructure sports facility are very good we can play almost every game and equipments are easily available

Hostel Facilities

one bed chair table and almira is provided in each room for wach student in 3rd & 4th year you can get single room and for 1st and 2nd year there are 3 students in each room 3 time meal and good in quality registration is done during college admission

Admission

i applied in some of the other colleges as well but it is very old college and semi govt as well autonomous so of preferred it over other we can apply directly from college website or through university we can apply here by jew cuttoff or 12th basis

Faculty

faculty to student ratio is approx 1:20. faculty is friendly here and easy approachable there are few senior professor who have lot of experience and good teaching skills there are 3 exams mid sem 1 and 2 and then end semester exam

Night Life

gym is also available in colleges timing are of morning and evening there are 3 cafes in college there are 5 hostels 1 of girls and 4 are of boys time for girls is 6:30 pm and boys is 10:00pm locality is good and safe to roam around

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??

As this college was nearest to my home . It is. Also one the most popular college in Punjab. It is most affordable college . I didn't applied to any other college . I applied in pcte college ludhiana and gndec ludhiana i got a confirmed admission in btech in computer science engineering specialized in AI and ML at pcte college ludhiana but i wanted to take admission in gndec as it is more reputed than pcte and also a very old and valued college and i first got admission in btech in electrical engineering in gndec ludhiana i took on this opportunity then changed my branch to btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The admission process is that you first have to wait for ptu to start online counselling then you can register in the counseling for 2000 rupees and if not selected in every round of ptu counseling there is a last chance at gndec when it organizes a direct counseling session distributing seats merit wise for btech in electrical u must have at least 65-70% in 12th boards exams then if you are offered a branch change then u can by giving 1000 rupees. My admission went smoothly but keep in mind u have to give 70000 rupees at direct counselling or just before admission if u are not availing any type of fee waiver...Read More
