Remarks

I HAD APPLIED TO THE AKTU COUNSELLING AND FOR THE CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF HARYANA ON THE BASIS OF MY JEE MAINS PERCENTILE OF 87.5 . I HAD GOT THE CONFIRMED ADMISSION FROM FROM THE CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF HARYANA , LUCKNOW UNIVERSITY AND FROM MANY TOP PRIVATE COLLEGES LIKE KIET,JSS ETC. AS WELL AS FROM TOP GOVERNMENT COLLEGES LIKE IET , KNIT , BIET . I HAD CHOSED THIS COLLEGE BECAUSE IT IS NEARBY TO MY HOME AND I ALSO WANTED TO PREPARE FOR THE GATE EXAM , SO IT' WILL BE BENEFICAL BECAUSE I DON'T HAD TO STRESS ABOUT HOSTEL , MESS AND I COULD FOCUS ON MY GATE PREPARATION. I COULD HAVE CHOSEN PRIVATE COLLEGES BUT BECAUSE OF HIGH FEESS AND HIGH ACCOMODATION PRICE I COULDN'T AFFORD THAT AND WHEN ABOUT GOVERNMENT COLLGES I WAS NOT GETTING THE CSE BRANCH , AS I WANTED TO STUDY IN CS ONLY, SO I LEFT THAT TOO. YES , YOU CAN SAY I WAS REJECTED FROM TOP GOVERNMENT COLLEGES IN SECURING CSE BRANCH , I FEEL BAD ABOUT IT . BUT , IT IS WHAT IS NOW. FOR ADMSSION INTO OUR COLLEGE , YOU JUST HAVE TO GIVE THE CUET FOR ANY COURSES AND IF YOU WANT ADMISSION IN B.TECH BRANCH YOU CAN GIVE JEE MAINS EXAM AS 50 PERCENT SEATS ARE RESERVED FOR ADMISSION THROUGH JEE MAINS. THE ELIGIBILITY IS 12 TH PASS OUT WITH MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT . MOST STUDENTS PREFER CUET EXAMS AS ONLY FEW KNOW ABOUT ADMISSION THROUGH JEE MAINS. THE CUTOFF FOR CSE BRANCH FROM JEE MAINS IS AROUND 84 PERCENTILE FOR GEN AND OBC AND AROUND 63 FOR SC STUDENTS. FOR ADMISSION YOU HAVE TO REGISTER ON BBAU OFFICIAL WEBSITE AND UPLOAD ALL INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS , ONCE YOU ARE ALLOTED SEAT ,YOU JUST HAVE TO PAY FEES . AFTER FEW DAYS , THEY WILL CALL ALL THE STUDENT FOR OFFLINE DOCUMENTS VERIFICATION AND SUBMISSION . THAT'S THE COMPLETE ADMISSION PROCEDURE. THE ADMISSION PROCESS IS SO DELAYED THAT MANY TOP STUDENTS TAKE ADMISSION SOMEWHERE ELSE .

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

There are 60 students in my classroom i.e each branch has 60 students . The girls boy ratio is too bad i.e 1:6 (1 girl to 6 boys). The cultural diversity is good as the univeristy is central and students from all over the country study here. The students are majorly from up only but some are from jharkhand , delhi , bihar , maharasthra, jammu, etc. The peer group learning is mostly there , because the curriculum is not up to date so we have to study from ourselves only to secure a job. There is no marks criteria required for attending the classes. The students don't genuinely attend to learn but just gain the attendance percentage ,so it's obvious we don't learn much in classes as compared to our own.

Internships Opportunities

1

No, the college doesn't have much placement opportunities. Adound 40% remain unplaced. Almost 70 percent get internships.placement data is like highest 9 lpa , average 4 to 5 lpa. ,lowest 2 to 3 lpa. Tcs ,wipro hire student in bulk here.there are no ppo's offered till date . In other course scenario is much worse.

Placement Experience

1.5

The final placement starts in march around. It' around 2 to 3 months for placement duration.no only 60 percent get placed. Remaining do mba or mtech or government jobs preparation. The most prefered company is tcs and salary of 3.5lpa . TCS , wipro hire in bulk here. Placement just brings few companies and rest on students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees in our btech department is near 1.2 lakh rupees per year for each category. The Sc and st can avail the scheme of zero admission fee if they have income certifiacte of less than 1 lakh rupees. The tuition itself is 1.1 lakh rupees per year int b.tech. I have totaly paid fees of 60900 for the 1st semester and will be paying around 57000 for the next semester this year. The price is somewhat high in comparison with other central universities offering btech course . Other the college fees , the student bears the expenses of grocery and eating out which can be fulfilled within only 2 to 3 thousand rupees only. The hostels are within the campus and the PG , rooms are nearby so , you don't have to spend on the travelling expenses. The university is located in the uttar pradesh ,hence students can avail the schoolarship provided by the up government that is upscholarship , the general and obc students get scholarship of around 57000 rupees. While the Sc, St students get the complete fee scholarship of 1.2 lakhs rupees per year. Almost all student get the scholarship until you yourself make error in scholarship form Hence , the scholarship makes the courses affordable.

Campus Life

2

Sports facilities are good on the campus whether indoor or outdoor , it has all equipments. Gym is also there but no swimming pool . The library is present with excellent facilities with access to every book. The campus is too huge , the ditance of hostel to acadmic block is 2 km approx. You can keep your bike with yourself. No, relatoves can't visit in night . There is medical center and is well equiped.Campus life is good. There is no nightlife like thing .There is a park nearby it is mainly the spit to roam around and it is safe there. There are no fests and clubs. there are no foreign students studying here except some buddhists .

Hostel Facilities

2

The girls and boys hostels are seperate and are far away from each other. Boys are not allowed to enter girls hostel and vice versa . The girls hostel is the best because of the mess food. The hostel allocation takes place on basis of merit in entrance exams. Hostel fees are 9600 for 1 year and all rooms are single only. Hostel timings are 5:00 am to 9p.m for girls , no timings for boys. Students have full freedom in the hostel . There is seperate fees for mess which is not included in hostel fees. Average mess for 1 month is 1500rs. Yes , each hostel have seperate mess but not seperate canteen. Most student eat the mess food only. Hhe food quality is average. The hostels are not guarded as it is near to the gates of univeristy. There are only single rooms . Hostel has wifi, chair ,table ,bed , almirah only. There is no common room . But ,The washrooms are common , aprox 6 to 7 student share washroom . If hostel are not vacant student live in PG which is much good but less affordable than hostels.

Exam Structure

The admission process is not complicated . Once the admission form comes around the july month , you just have to fill up the application form from the the official website of bbau and upload relevant documents as asked. Then after that you will be allocated the seat after few days and a the portal for fee submission will be given to you. After you pay the fees, somedays later they will ask you to submit the documents and verification of it in offline mode in campus itself. The most preffered exam for the admission is cuet conducted by nta ,most of the student come thorugh this only. But ,for btech you can also get admission through jee mains also. For safe percentile for the college admission , it would be around 84 for general and obc , 63 for sc and st . There is no seperate reservation for obc , it is combined with gen as UR category. After the spot counselling , if seats remains vacant, the admission is taken through management quota , so one can take admission through this also.

Faculty

2

1. The course curriculum is pretty standard as per the UGC. Yes, students do fail some of the courses. 2. The good aspects include the technological culture and the right environment for growth. The bad aspects include some parts of the courses which are outdated and are not required in modern times. 3. There are 4 exams each year (2 per semester). One is mid semester and another is end semester exam.
