Coming to offer placement and internships major companies are recruiting for the data science and front-end or back-end or react domain this year Accenture completed the recruitment process and Infosys have recruited 106 no of students for system engineer role and many start-up are offering good scope and opportunities as digit insurance also recruited for data science and technology domain offering 4.5 lpa and innovare recruited for 6-9 lpa and micron recruited for 10lpa some of them even offered the Internships ig drone recruited for internship role and squibix recruited for the internship role aptus data lab recruited with 7.5 lpa and yet many other to come for the recruitment as it's still 5-6 month left to complete our fourth year

Placements are good after becoming silicon University the university allow the 3rd year student to sit for placement I heard but the scenario of placement is good but college doesn't have strict policy against sting for the placement as college allowing a student again sit for the placement who already got placed but overall the placement opportunities are good just you have to skilled and smart and should clear the basic eligibility to grab the placement to your hand

I have enrolled in the lateral entry course as I have done my diploma in engineering so I got a direct entry to the 2nd year. 2nd year- Tution Fees -159000, hostel fees-38000 and hostel caution money 5000 and the canteen fees is 4500/month 3rd year - Tution Fees -150000, Hostel fees-38000, Canteen Fees-5000/month 4th year- Tution Fees-150000,Hostel fees-33000, Canteen Fees-5000/monthe You have to atleast have a more than 50 Percentage in the end each academic as to get a scholarship from state scholarship portal -each year you can get a 20000 as scholarship Each year During zygon fest- 250 apparal dues atleast but for 3rd year and 4th year it's not mandatory Hostel activity -150 If you opt for repeat midterm - 200 For Supplementary -200/400 Summer internships -5000 atleast But now the course fees is completely changed after upgraded to university the tution fees is around 210000 per year

Overall experience is good as many clubs are there to get into and you can explore your intrest as like we have here silicon music club, silicon social media club and silicon creative club, gdsc silicon and tedx silicon and silicon theatre club and zeal club and many more the robotics club arranges an event each year the event name is nirman and the ed cell entrepreneurship club arranges a good event each year overall you have good area of opportunities to explore as per your choice but the infrastructure could be better as of universe infrastructure standard

Hostels are having a and non AC facility it's like 4 sharing bed and hostel are well maintained we have 3 boyz hostel and 1 girls hostel boys hostel 2 having lift facility but boyz one doesn't have any lift facility, some ac room have bunk bed facility also and students can also opt for attached washroom rooms the meal quality is average but good as compared to other colleges food it is good to go for hostel of University as the nearest pg and room rent could be Little bit expensive side

The admission process was different during my admission time as I have gone through the ohee counseling but now things changed as the silicon University having its own entrance test so the counseling Will be done based on the jee rank and silicon entrance test

Most of the faculties are good and having a good grasp in their subject and at end of a sem their is survey done among the students to rate a faculty and lab assistant and all, so overall it's like having mixture of good and bad but 70% of the faculties are good in teaching and the syllabus is well designed which covers the all aspects of a student growth like ethical values to corporate communication and heath as providing yoga as a zero credit subject but the faculty to student ratio is also good and by combining a small no of student group a faculty adviser also alloted so student can directly contact to the facultie advisor for any type of guidance. Exam are in moderate level side but there was strict policy during my period as if you are having some back then it can lead towards the year back but now it's removed since it got declared as a university according to the university academic policy the rules got little light even we had a policy to attain 80 percentage of classes it was mandatory but now it's only 65 percentage

During my time of admission at that time we have gone through the jee and ojee counseling procedure only and after silicon institute of technology promoted to silicon University still there is no such procedure of group discussion or interview exists only you can appear jee exam or you can opt for the silicon admission test exam

As the campus is small you don't have much option inside campus to explore still we have a skylab which is well arranged for students for hangout at sit WiFi connection is provided there and boys are allowed till 10.00-10.30 to stay in campus and after it they should return to the hostel and for girls the time limit is sharp 10.00 and we have 4 canteen one is veg canteen and another is nonveg canteen and one separate for MCA and fourth year and one for guest canteen present in guest house sundeck sports complex is there also and in each hostel a badminton court is provided but the out side campus is good as the location of university is in a top notch area of Bhubaneswar and situated in the middle of the it mnc as many big mnc share it's boundry with silicon
