Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was covering the subjects like bioinformatics and biostatistics that I didn't learn during my graduation, influenced me to go ahead with this course. Curriculum gives you the advanced knowledge in subjects like microbiology, genetics, cell biology, animal and plant biotechnology and bioinformatics. Some teachers really needs to improve their way of teaching and they need to use better notes to deliver quality content Course curriculum also needs addition of latest advancements in the field of science Exams conducted are easy to moderate. And one can pass easily by studying some of the frequently asked topics from PYQs

Placement Experience

5

From 3rd semester only you become eligible to apply for placement. They do offer 5-6 companies for placement. And aroud 15-18 students do get placed. Companis like Accenture, unacademy, sunpharma do visit the campus and recruit around 8-10 students each. Highest package was offered by unacademy of 8 Lpa. I am also get placed in Accenture and my journey at this job has started.

Fees and Financial Aid

They take ?10000 in the time of admission which includes ?5000 for registration and ?5000 as caution money. Apart from this they take ?50000 as per semester fees. There are no special fees structure for specific categories. Fees is equal for everyone. Also college doesn't offer any scholarship kind of thing, so no concession on fees. They accept the fees throughout the semester.

Campus Life

5

College do organises Annual fests, cultural programmes and annual sports meet. This will keep you engaged throughout the course and you will enjoy. Library is quite well established and is spacious. They offer wide range of books and journals. All the books related to course can be found there. So you won't need to purchase any expensive book to study. Classroom are well equipped with smartboard and mic. They are also fully air conditioned. You can find students running music, dance and sports club and can join according to your interest.

Admission

I applied for University of Delhi, BHU and Soa University. I got the confirmed admission at BHU but till then i had already taken the admission at this university and had settled well there. Odisha is my birth place. Though I am from Gurugram but have relatives staying near to the college. Also Siksha O Anusandhan University has ranked Ondisha's No. 1 college. To get admission in this university you need to give SAAT examination which happens online. After examination, you will get mail followed by call that you are eligible to take admission. This is the general procedure they follow every year. After that they will take all your doubts on call. Else you can go to office and ask your doubts to registation coordinator. They you will get a date through mail at which you have to complete the procedure of admission. There you will pay the registration fee and deposit caution money and fees of one semester. In total ?60000.

Faculty

4

Well established faculty can be seen. All are very experienced and knowledgeable. They are very much approachable and appreciate one's presence. I like Dr. Enketeswar Subudhi, Dr. Patitapaban and Dr. Lakhmidhar sir. And they are best faculties too. They are senior teachers and they guides me for future apart from academics. They introduced me to better opportunities. There are teachers i did not appreciated much like Dr. Reena, Dr. Lakshmikant Acharya because their way of teaching was understandable by not only me but by other teachers as well. They just read the slides. Two types of exams are being conducted i.e., Mid semester exams and final semester exams. Mid sem exams are of 30 marks and conduct in the middle of semester mostly after two months and it includes 40-50% of syllabus. End semester as the name says is conducted at the end of semester and it covers the whole syllabus and has a weightage of 60 marks.

Night Life

3

As the campus lies in the hospital area, so you won't experience any loud nightlife. But the campus is surrounded with good cafeteria and you can explore variety of food options on street. Hostel timings are strict. Girls are not allowed to go outside the campus after 7pm without permission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a lecturer so i choosed the royal course Masters in zoology rather than any other specialisation course. And the course Masters of Science in Zoology, Botany is provided by very few private universities in Odisha and AIPHU is one of them i think probably the best one. Faculty do come and leave but there replacement is done simultaneously. The faculty student ratio is normal. Most of the faculty members have completed there PhD as well as Post Doctorial research from foreign universities and medical. Our faculty focus on building strong foundation. They start from basics and teach the difficult topics in very simpler way. We have two midterms each of 1 hours and of 100points which get converted to 20 marks. And one endterm of 50 marks and 10 marks for internal assessment. Midterms are brainstorming but it makes us thorough in specific units which makes endterm exam easier.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this allows me to delve deeper into the passion for understanding animal life and their biological processes. Secondly, this is also a step towards my goal to become a researcher. The faculty members at our university are very dedicated, highly qualified, with their post-docs from a renowned university and are very cooperative. They teach us in a very friendly way, and their passion for research enriches the academic environment. The difficulty level for term exams is medium, neither too hard nor too easy, and requires hard work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
