Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course is relevant and comprehensive which allows the students to prepare themselves according to the needs of today's world. As the curriculum deals with the learning of modern medicine and various aspects of medical science so I got influenced to choose this course. Latest curriculum also prepare us for various postgraduate entrance examinations and building a foundation for speciality learnings.

Internships Opportunities

5

There is a 1 year internship offered by the college only after completion of 4.5 years of MBBS. Stipend is same as of every government medical college of Uttar Pradesh which is 12000 Rs. as of now but there are chances of increase. You will get posted in every department for few weeks where you will get experience and knowledge on how to deal patient of that particular department. Sorry for any typos:)

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from open category so fees details for General category students is as follows : 1st year : - 36000 Tution fees + 4800 Hostel fees - Fees paid to the University is 1000 Registration fees + 13500 Examination fees (same every year) 2nd year : - 24000 Tution fees + 4800 Hostel fees - University fees : 13500 + 1000 3rd year : - 24000 Tution fees + 4800 Hostel fees - University fees : 13500 + 1000 Final year : - 24000 Tution fees + 4800 Hostel fees - University fees : 13500 +1000 Mess charges: 3000 per month For other categories : For state quota students - (Fees same for OBC/SC/ST/PWD) 1st year - 24000 2nd year -15000 3rd year - 15000 Final year - 15000 Hostel fees - 4800/year Mess fees - 3000/month University fees - 13500 + 1000 every year For AIQ seats : General/EWS/OBC fees same as described under open category SC/ST/PWD : fees same as of reserved category of state Scholarships are available for reserved category but there is no merit based scholarship as per now. Students receive certain amount monthly as scholarship to bear their study expenses.

Campus Life

3

- The college is still under construction so campus life is not as expected. There are no technical festivals or annual festivals. - Library is well equipped and all latest books all available and students can issue books upto 1 week so one can say that library facilities are upto the mark. - Lecture Theatres are also well-equipped and have adequate ventilation and there is proper seating space for 100 students. - Everyone get equal opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are clean and tidy and there is a kitchen and bathroom within the room along with attached balcony. Room is shared between two people. Meal quality is okay and menu is modified frequently as per majority demands. Hostels are allotted when you come for the admission process and hostels are very affordable as we have to pay 4800/year.

Admission

So admission to my college is via NEET-UG exams in which 15% seats are for All India Counselling and 85% seats are reserved for State Counselling. The eligibility criteria is same as for NEET-UG and admission is via this exams only. There are no direct admissions and no management seat present. Cutoff in 2021 for open category was around 19000 rank. Cutoff now in year 2024 is around 26000 in last round from State Quota. Admission process is easy like every other government medical college of Uttar Pradesh. You have to report to the college as per scheduled by the Counselling bodies and submit your documents as given in the document list released every year. Then you can continue classes as per schedule. I was getting ASMC, Siddarthnagar but I chose this college over it because ASMC, Jaunpur has its own hospital building inside the campus whereas all other autonomous state medical colleges are attached to the District Hospital. So, this is an advantage of choosing this medical college over other ASMCs of the state.

Faculty

5

Faculty is adequate in every subject. In theoretical claases, 1 faculty teaches 100 students but in ward postings there is a batch of 20 students posted in each subject and every department has around 8-10 faculty members hence faculty-to-student ratio is good. Faculties are well qualified in their fields and are easily approachable. There are two terminal exams followed by Pre-Profs then Professional Exam. So, total 3 Internal examinations conducted by the college itself and 1 University Exam i.e., Professional Examination. You have to score minimum of 50% marks combined Theory+Practical Exam to pass any exam. If you fail then you will have to appear for Supplementary Examinations. Almost everyone passes in the exam. Course curriculum is designed by NMC which keeps on changing as per modern changes in the field of Medicine hence course curriculum is relevant and updated.

Night Life

2

There is a canteen and an open gym present inside the campus. Hostel in timings for girls is 8 pm and for boys is 10 pm. There are two temples inside the campus and there is no such hangout place inside the campus. One can visit the Jaunpur city but the locality is a little bit unsafe at night to roam for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was in 2nd class then on report card I have to write which is your aim in future or what you want to become in future . Then there I I choose that I want to become a doctor and from then I I have dream that I become eligible doctor . Second doctor is very noble profession and it is my honour that I am serving the people and save the lives of the people . This profession teaches me a lot like how to cope with the situations and how to react very quickly in every situation . It help us to improve our skills and also our mental health and makes a strong mentally and emotionally .. I should suggest that there is a improvement in online lectures also provided for the MBBS course because there is little bit difficulty in the college to go there and study there because some scarcity of faculties in the college so qualitative education is not provided as it should be provided. The MBBS course offers four exams which are little bit hard to clear and there is little difficulty in clearing the exam. The timing of the exam is from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.. The terminal occurs at the gap of 3 months while the pre professional exam and the professional exam occur at the gap of 1 month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was my dream destination career wise to choose MBBS . MBBS connects you to life and death the two most important aspects of being a human on this planet . Having a power to cure someone and make people smile and live again with health is something else. As in our India the population to doctor ratio is very less hence it's important for the young generation to understand and evaluate the decision of serving the country this way. MBBS is dream for many but reality for very few students all over the country. But the people reaching here face toxic culture also , as prestigious it is as disturbing sometimes it becomes , people over here do not understand the mental health of others So this aspect should be taken in to care and medicos should be handled with care by the society, government and also the seniors . The exams are big rat race , but it's really satisfying as a reader as you get to study and read a lot about medicine . So choose MBBS but not toxicity make your mind that you ll make it beautiful for yourself and also for your batchmates and juniors as well .
