Course Curriculum Overview

3

Though most of the curriculum is useful in real time applications, I feel that few of them are really irrelevant to what we actually need to learn when it comes to application in real life, feels like they made these just for filling the curriculum as they didn't find anything useful.

Internships Opportunities

4

Though there's not many placements in this college there are many companies that provide internships in this college and I feel that's a good point as it can add to the overall experience of the candidate.

Placement Experience

2

There are good placements in this college but it's only mostly for two courses like mechanical and electronics courses. The other courses struggle to find placements in this college as the companies related to that course rarely even come to this college during placements so courses like cse struggle finding placement opportunities here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees I paid is 1,20,000 for the college and I also opted for hostel since I am from Bangalore so the hostel fees is 80,000 making it a total of 2,00,000 but there is a Karnataka state scholarship scheme which though doesn't allot much money to other categories but it does give about 88,000 to sc or st category students.

Campus Life

3

The social aspects of this college I can say is a bit on the better side as they conduct a yearly cultural festival called the gold rush which lasts 2 days, also they have few subjects common to every course which promotes social service and also subjects that give opportunities for students interested in sports and the wide range of the sports is also a good thing.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is also just like any other hostel facility that is provided in other colleges but one good thing about this college's hostel is that the food is not slept on like in other hostels, the cooks here actually make efforts to make the food as tasty as possible.

Admission

I had applied to many other colleges in Bangalore but I got this college in KCET counselling and I also felt this was a good choice as it is located in a remote area as compared to the busy streets of Bangalore so it's a more peaceful environment which I feel will kind of motivate few students to attend college

Faculty

3

The faculty-to-student ratio is really not that bad considering most of them are experienced teachers with few of them having completed their masters degree in the course they teach and there are 2-3 internals every semester and the marking really depends on the faculty that's correcting the papers.

Night Life

4

The gym and cafeteria are really not what many people would expect but that's understandable because it's a college in a remote area. During the nights it is really peaceful in the college as the streets are not really that busy.

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range.
