Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course primarily because of its foundational concepts and emerging technologies. The curriculum covers subjects like data structures, dbms, along with electives in data science etc. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical foundation with opportunities to apply learning through industry projects and internships.More focus on communication, teamwork and other softskills could better prepare students for the collaborative nature of the industry.

Internships Opportunities

4

We were asked to go for an internship after our 4th semester end examinations during our vacation. This internship was not from our college. I personally went to Denvik solution OMR for internship. We were asked to suggest a cloud design an architecture for it. There was no stipend.

Placement Experience

3

Students typically become eligible for placements from seventh semester of their ug programs. The institute has attracted several esteemed recruiters over the years. Some of them are Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture etc. The highest package offered to a CSE student was 37 LPA and the average package offered was 4.5 LPA. The percentage of the students getting placements is probably around 60-80%. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue my higher education abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my batch(2022-2026) the fee structure is 2 lakhs per year. Some of my batch mates who had scored above 80-90% in their 12th grade got a reduction in their tution fee. Examination fee is not included in thos and has to be paid seperately.

Campus Life

4

Our college hosts annual event called orion each year. Technical and non technical events typically occur often which focuses on showing skills with competitions and workshops and seminars in fields such as enginar and technology. The college library is huge and has a comprehsive range of books and reference materials. Our college places a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities like sports etc. The college has numerous student-run clubs, including technical clubs which frequently host workshops and events.

Admission

I applied for SRM institute of science and technology and vellore institute of technology. I chose Crescent over all of them because the fee structure was a bit high. I was offered Btech Cse course in SRM KTR and VIT AP. To get admission in the college I am currently studying in, you have to write CIEAT exam. If you score a decent score you will get a call letter from the college. The eligibility to get admission is to have at least 60% of marks in your 12th grade.

Faculty

3

Majority of the faculties are very apporachable but some of them only favour some students which makes them unapproachable. I personally don't like some of the faculties because I have felt like I have been targeted by them for no reason. I don't want to mention their names but I definitely want to mention Dr.Dhanalakshmi & Dr.Devi for being my favourite professors. The are 2 CAT exams and semester end exam for each semesters. The difficulty level depends upon how much effort u put into studying. The course curriculum is well structured and up-to-date.

Night Life

4

There are five canteens in the college. The food tastes really amazing. Since Iam a day scholar I don't know how hostel life is. There is a zoo neraby the college. There are many places to hangout with friends few kms away from college and the locality is safe as far as I've seen.

Other Applied Colleges

SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

The fee structure was a bit high
