Course Curriculum Overview
The various topics that were covered in the Masters program attracted me the most to choose Forensic Science. The curriculum included theoretical knowledge of all the subjects, which were applicable in real world or cases as well. My college can improve themselves in practicals, as practical knowledge is evenly important as the theoretical knowledge. The frequency of exams were good according to me, it gave me the time to prepare properly.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship at Central Forensic Science Laboratory, New Delhi and I got admitted in that internship because of the letter provided by my head of department. Multiple students went to multiple places with the help of that letter only, which helped us in our future endeavours.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of the M.Sc. Forensic Science course was 17,000Rs per year. Scholarship was available for category students and students whose parents earnings were lower than 2Lakh per year. Some students based on the category+earning had zero fees and also got the scholarship from the University.
Campus Life
There were continuous programs and fests going in our college. Anybody can participate in these fests, if they are interested. There was a big Library in our college which was accessible to each and every student in their ID card. We had an E-library also. Online classes were conducted in case offline classes could not be taken place.
Admission
To be honest I did not applied to many colleges. Apart from my college I applied to University of Bhatinda as well. Since, I completed my graduation from the same college that's why I preferred Lucknow University again. I got selected to 2 colleges, but still I choose Lucknow University because it was in my hometown. The eligibility depends on the subject you did your masters from. There is an entrance exam conducted for admission. If you pass the exam, you'll get selected.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio was 1:5 Although whoever professor we had during our course was really good in their knowledge and behaviour with the students. They were always ready to help all the students regarding any problem with any subject. Anamika ma'am and Saurabh sir were the best professors we had. We had mid semester and end semester exams once in every year. If you study properly then it is easy to clear all the exams and if not then you'll get back also.
