Course Curriculum Overview

3

I liked the subject during my graduation therefore I thought to persue this as a masters subject. The subjects taught during the degree are great but because there was no placement opportunities provided by the university that was a major set back.

Internships Opportunities

4

The Internship is not provided by the university, the syudent needs to find the internships on their own. The topics and other details of the internships need to be submitted to the university and weekly report of what you have done during the internship need to be submitted reguraly during the whole period of the internship.

Placement Experience

1

There was no placement provided by the university, no companies visited the campus for placements, therefore the students have to search for the jobs on their own. After completing the degree it is very disheartning to not get a placement opportunity by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees including tution fees, and lab fees is 1 lakh 10 thounsand per year. The total fees for 2 years course is 2 Lakhs 20 thousand. There is an additional 20,000 INR submitted at the time of admission as security money, which is refundable after completion of the degree after deducting some amount (the reson for deduction is not known). The examination fees of 2000-3000 per year is additional.

Campus Life

4

The activities and annual fests are great but because I'm a 2022 batch most of my degree is online, the only major event i attended offline is my Convocation is the year 2022, the convocation and other events are great and there are multiple opportunities to showcase your talent and participate in the events.

Hostel Facilities

3

I have not opted for university hostel. There are some paying guest available near the university which you can check the rent is approximately 20-25K for a double sharing room including food and other facilities.

Admission

Amity University is a well renowned private University in India, therefore I opted for this university to complete my degree as I thought it would be a great exposure and will prepare me for the future, the different additional subjects provided by the university are quite fascinating.

Faculty

4

The faculties are quite good at their subject and how they teach, they all are experienced and alumunus of some well known universities from India and abroad. The faculty to student ration is fine. The faculties are easily approachable. Dr. Somnath Pai is one of my favorite professor, he is friendly and smart as well. There are semester wise examinations and assessments for each subject as well. The level of exams is fine if your read the notes and presentations orepared by the faculties you can score good marks. In some subjects the exams have application based questions.

Interview Experience

4

There was one video which needs to be submitted, in which the student needs to introduce themselves and then there were questions which needs to be answered by the student in the video only. The other steps just iclude filling the application form and submitting the fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Msc.Biotechnology is a good course. The laboratory aspect has pushed me a bit to make the decision. Curriculum makes us academically good but not good for real world. College laboratory needs improvement in terms of installation of proper laboratory equipments. Teaching skills & class control methods needs improvement. Teaching should be made more industry based and practical based. Exam pattern is good, not very easy to pass, have to work hard to get good marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to study psychology in clinical setting in future. I am interested in therapies and diagnosis but currently I'm focusing on counselling. There were 6 sections of masters in psychology with a ratio of 60 students each class. The faculty was NET qualified and some were doing their PHD along with teaching. The teaching methods was nice as we had access to technology as well like projectors. The material provided to us was really good for our future reference. Exams were held every six months and the difficulty level of exams were moderate.
