Course Curriculum Overview

4

The college focuses on teaching the curriculum which is set and maintained the rhythm to make students understand well the topics which influenced me for choosing this college. The curriculum is set to groom the students and impart them knowledge which they can use in the real world companies to outshine others and perform well. The college also offer's Personality Development Classes called as PDP to the students which help the students to upskill their communication skills and interview skills which helps them a lot in their life as these skills are important in real life. I woudl just suggest to upgrade their courses with time as many things are changing and outdated syllabus don't help in the long run its a fast changing world demaning newer technologies and skills which helps the companies better rather than outdated programming languages and framewroks they could include newest languages which companies want from students. More and more practical work should be conducted rather than just theoretical subjects to make students understand better of the curriculum and the subject as this will help them in real life work. The exams are conducted every 1 months or so and the PUT exams are conducted just before the semester exams which happens in like 6 months of the semester end . The difficulty of exams is moderate just like what would u see in the university exams and with good knowledge of the subject you will be able to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

Various Internship opportunities are shared with the students in their like last semester by the faculty which can help them in getting a good job in the future. Internships from Various companies like Zoho, Tech Mahindra and others were there which students can easily apply to .The college also provides with various essential tips and classes for giving interviews and getting the jobs. The PDP classes helps in improving the quality of the students and improving their communication in English and their skills which makes them a better person in their life The companies which offered the internships were like giving average to unpaid stipends to the students this would let the students get the feel and know how companyies and corporate culture works and fuctions which helps students in their jobs. The roles offered were more of like sales and marketing this lacks as there were less internships for technical roles for even Btech Computer Science students so many students liked to look for internships off the campus on job posting sites and other platforms. U have to submit some projects during your whole college life which makes u understand your course better and get the feel of building a porjevt from scratch. This gives u more knowledge than what u will learn theories as u will be applying testing and deploying your projects by yourself. Various mini projects are there across the semester which u have to submit to the project incharges or faculties to be reviewed. You would also have to give presentations related to your project and also them your project and how it would be helpful in the real world to the actual companies and consumers. This project works gives you a good knowledge of your skills and the areas where u have to do good and improvement requires. At the end of you semester in like 8th sem u would have to submit the final project which u would have chosen in the previous days with all this testing deployment and project work to the faculties.

Placement Experience

3

U are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester and companies start rolling out their job openings in the campus which are thoroughly shared by the office faculty to the students. Soem companies like Zoho Corp, Capgemini, Tommy Hilfiger etc... came to the college campus for the interview process and offered many students which met their criteria for the job. In my time like 20 students got the job letter and many more got the offers from the campus itself. The average salary ranges between 3 to 6 laks depending upon your skills and knowledge. I have seen my seniors getting more than this like 10lakh but it all depends on individual. Around 60% of students get placed from the campus if they prepare well for the interview and have good knowledge of their subject and job role. U have to have good communication skills also. The college provides with all the help and important information needed also does mock interviews and many more activities to upskill your level and be a preferred candidate for the companies. After getting the degree I'm planning on doing Masters in Information Technology for better job security and opportunities in the long run which will help me build my career.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for B Tech is around 80k to 83k per year thats what is paid per year. The registration fees is around 1 or 2k and there are like exam fees for giving the university semester exams which depends on the university and your subjects in that year which i charged annually which costs around like 8k per year which is mandatory to pay for giving exams. Students can opt for Scholarships provided by the Uttar Pradesh government which are facilitated and managed by the college for easy applying. The college provides buses for most parts of the city for the students and teachers which costs around 20 to 25k per year not sure this was about my time could vary. Other Btech courses like mechanical electrical civil is also offered to students there fee structures might vary but overall are some what same. Other courses offered are BBA Diploma Mtech and BCA

Campus Life

5

The culture and vibe of the college is amazing. There is lots of annual festivals happening in the college which are full of life and are very enjoyable. The main annual function which is held mostly every year is called Exuberance which is a great annual festival many students participate in the various events and competitions like literary competitions, Hackathon and Coding competitions. This is a 3 to 4 day event which ens with any famous musical band or Singer performing on the last fay of the whole festival which is mesmerising and full of wild party. There are also various coding competitions and other competitions goong around all over the year which keeps up the excitement of the students throughout the year. The college has one library which is decent in size there you can go and study in a quiet environment if u dont wanna be disturbed. The library offers various course books and other books which u can issue from it and return when completed there could be some fine levied uopn on damage of books. The college has various Labs for every course and also workshops for the students. Computer labs , Chemistry lab and Civil labs are some examples which are available in the college which has all the basics which u will need in the lab though the version of computers and their maintenance could be not upto the mark. There is wife connection all around the college but cant be accessed by the student. There are various sports activities which u can play including Cricket, Football, Badminton , Chess etc in the college. Various sports events are also conducted in the college like Umang and Oorja which typically happens in the November months in which students and participate to show their skills and win events. Gaming events are also held like Lan BGMI and Call of Duty which is fun and exciting though they dont happen frequently and can vary from time to time There is no such students group or clubs in my time but now can vary.

Admission

I applied to different colleges like PSIT and Axis Colleges which are some what similar to Allenhouse the difference is not much. I chose this college cause as it was more affordable than other colleges and with same curriculum and Teaching methods so i chose this college. Other colleges offer the same curriculum but for higher fees and some differences but not that it matters much with the teaching method and curriculum being same for every college associated with AKTU. The admission process of the college is very simple and straightforward the college does not conduct any of its internal admission test to qualify for the admission but u need to have atleast more than 50% in your schooling to get the desired course u wanna get in the college. There is some concessions in fees for other government exam scores like Gate and Jee mains scores which could benefit you in fees reduction. As such there is no criteria of exam you just meet basic requirements and could afford the fees you would be admitted to the college pretty easily.

Faculty

4

The facility to student ratio is good like 10 to 1 like 10students to 1 teacher and the teachers are easily approachable they try to help you in your course problems or any studies related problems or management problems. Every faculty is decent and are educated their methods of teaching could differ but are knowledgeable in their core subjects and impart their knowledge effectively to the students. The college conducts its own exams like internal exams called as CUT and PUT exams which are to test the student's knowledge of the subject as they progress with the semester and these are per semester. The level of the exams are pretty decent the CUT are mostly of 30marks and PUT is of 100 which is conducted just before your University semester exams. If u follow the class and do daily practice at home it would be easy for you to pass the exams as they are decent and match the quality of the semester exams. U could buy Quantums for Btech students to get better marks and perform in both college and university tests. The faculty would be helping you with every problem you face in the college.

Placement Experience:

You will start getting offer letters from 7th semester onwards and the placement drive occurs in the 8th semester. This college is in growing phase every year the placement statistics are getter better. Last year around 80%+ batch of CSE was placed with an average package of 4-6 LPA and the highest placement was 16lakhs as SDE in HP. This year google visited our campus and selected two students with an offer letter of 34 LPA as SDE and 37 LPA as AI Engineer. Currently the average package is the same of last year. But the placement percentage has increased from 80% to 90%. Companies like HP TCS Accenture Sharekhan Wipro and local giants like VDPL along with mass recruiters visited our campus this year. Even if any student is unable to get any placement offer then also this place has multiple companies and their offices in the Delhi NCR region which gives you a vast option for job opportunities. In our college startups are promoted and they get funding from different investors. Ideathons help them to get the fame and investment for their startups. My long term goal is to get placed in the highest package offering companies in our college.

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.
