Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course that we chouse is quite good it soes not make you industru ready but teaches you to be thoughtfull, look at problems on multiple prospective and helps you grow. i study COMPUTER SCIENCE and ENGERRING it was mostly influenced byt he billiond of jobs being avalability enery day opurtunity to be resdy for tommorroe infact work with AI and rather hot topics and design new things. It prepares you for a ready to think and ready to adapt nature of the field although it is not exactly industry ready but it is good as you you can chouse your own way and liking we have 2 exams per semister and 4 in a year

Placement Experience

2

students are eligible from the 4th year for placement, there are quite a few campanies but the student to company ratio is preety low out of the 250 only 50 or so succeed it nearly 2.5 to 3.6 lpa very few get better if any do, mostly go unplaced, i also plan to get within the rare gems that do get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

the semister fees is 50,000 tution fees 1000 libary gees then their is other mislanious items for 4000 totaling upto 55,000 per semister whuch amounts to 1,10,000 per year. application fees was 5000, 10,000 caution fees, 2600 registration fees, 8000 seminar fees and a feew mislanious totaling to 80,094. it is 46,000 per seminar from studenta from west bengal board , totaling 3.6 lakh for the whole course. we can avail SVMCM scollarship for 60,000 per year if they score more than 60% in all senario.

Campus Life

2

codefest, in Augest September its fairly good and quite enriching the seniors are quite friendly and helpfull, our course need not that many books and there arn't many to name it has a fow books as per the needs of the students so it rarely you will get the book you need, htere is a field where sports in prevelent and there are clubs like coding clun and photography chub but they are really not that active, whe do have a mane lab with decent machines but other than that there are a few more labs the electronics lab is the only other non cse lab and its not bad but lacks instumentrs and hardware, there are a lot of tufent run groups GDG , CODING CLUN DANCE CLUB, etc

Admission

I applied to several colleges, but chose mine for its tailored curriculum, avability of machine learning and cybersecurity . It also had a decent infrastructure. I faced rejections from a few top-tier institutions due to competitive entrance exams and profile gaps. My college’s admission process involved national exams like JEE, with high cutoffs. The process was rigorous but I wanted to tkae cse as it felt like the next step forward in wany wasy .

Faculty

2

the student to faculty ratio is not that good, some teathers are forced to teach subject they dont fully master and some stubject lacks proper faculty at all, they are many faculties to like like Samir sir the maths teacher the strict but caring extreamly diciplined, Tanaya mam the one who has the answer and ready to explain it to you; Paromita mam she is friendly ans always ready to help Sonali mam she will be your go to per son for all things nasacary well speaking of dont like there are not a lot of them like there are are a few bas eggs Abhishek Bhoumik he is there with the least intrest of teaching and more about braging and be the bare minimum Shayan Nag he is the not bad in person he is friendly kind of a good fellow but hw will do everything in class except teaching and its fun at first bit when we have to study all on our own it really bad

Interview Experience

3

we did not have a group discussion but did have a exam which was conducted in online mode , we did a few simple questions to prepare for the exam of maths and physics. there was no real criteria but marks affected the fees. you can also be refered from jee counceling.

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
