Review - Thomas Arts& Science college Puthencruz Affiliated to MG university

I choose this course because it provided not only academic knowledge but also other personal development knowledge which is important in the real world. Each student is encouraged to speak up,build their confidence,build good relationships between each other and with teachers and students too. They not only help you achieve big in academics but also prepare you for functioning in the real world. A suggestion I would make would be to alter the uniform a little because for boys it's pants and shirt,for girls it's pants shirt and a coat,it is very uncomfortable due to the humid climate. Each semester is 6 months,and before every semester exam there is model exams and you would very prepared for everything. Lots of extracurricular activities are done in between each .

The students become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester if they have no backlog or have one. Usually TCS ,Sutherland, Airtel and other companies offer placements. The package could be anywhere between 12000-20000. The students who are qualified (who have no backlogs) ends up getting placed most of the time. I personally plan on pursuing post graduate degree after this degree.

Admission will cost you around 18,000 if you are buying seat. For BBA it is 9000/semester and totally 6 semesters. For other courses like BCA and B.com fee goes higher.Once you have joined you only have to pay semester fees and Exam fees between rs800-rs 1200. It varies for each Semester .

Every year there is annual day,Christmas celebration,onam celebration for which atleast rs200 is collected from students. Other than that there small occasional celebrations of festivals too. The library is open to all,once you have a library card you will have access to all the books,you can also recommend books to the library and they will buy it for the library. You can get both academic and classic literature from the library. Sports and other extracurricular activities are given verymuch importance,if students like it they can join. There is a club called the ED cell which is an entrepreneurial development club which helps students to be more confident,speak up their mind,improve their social skills etc

I didn't apply to many colleges because this college was closer to my home and the travel was comfortable. I was not rejected from any other colleges. For admission it would cost you less than rs20,000. If any student scores A+ or S in the semester exams their sem fees will be reduced to half. There is no such thing as cutoff. The iverall admission experience was great it took less than a day for me

The faculty and students have a good relationship,they treat kids with respect and help each of the individually most of the time. They are approachable and reliable. They encourage every student to perform well and shows no special favour to anyone. There is 1 faculty for 15 students. There are toally 6 exams for each semester. 16/20 students pass with ease. Eventhough the exams are somewhat difficult the teachers make you prepared. And before each university exam there are model exams sometimes there is also class tests. The text books are relevant because they keep improvising each year
