Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum here is more different than the other same tier colleges, here in our college the student is not required to mandatorily attend the accademic class and may go and do any project work if you have one, here in the college the academic is different from the extra knowledge you gain however its your own decisions to attend the academic class which will help you in internals and semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship may differ from person to person and they may attend internships at any year of the college, the college doesnt help you in getting any internships but you have to search youselfs. My friends have been to interships with stipends of almost 10000. but the faculties from the college sometimes recommend you for the internships bases on the projects and tasks you do. Here in the college they give us tasks and targets to complete and make us go and participate in my competitions and encourage us to do many projects.

Placement Experience

4

The Placments in our college is a bit average in my opinion, The placements were at its peak when i joined my college but due to the downfall of the ID industry allover the country, the placements are also dull in my college, It was like, the college does its job from its side by bringing the companies to the college but the students should train hard to get placed in it, the students are eligible for placements from the pre final year, exactly from the 6th semester but they give us training from the 3rd semester itself, till now the number companies visited for the final years is 200 and the number of peoples placed is more than 500, the highest salary is 21lpa and the average would be almost 5 lpa and the placements are now going on!, my plan also is to get placed and work for a certain time and after to do masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a prefinal year student and I currently pay ruppes 2.75L as a management quota student and for merit students the fees will 2.15, and these are more scholarships for both management and merit student which you can apply for! There are scholarships for each category, The Hostel bill will be 1l for a year and the rest are for Tuition which include all other fee along with the mess bill for the dayscholars, where food is served here in the dayscholarmess but consider the fee is affordable and worth for the pay

Campus Life

5

These are more technical events conducted in the college, Each and every department conducts their own technical symposium and it happens over the year after the semester gets over, the college concentrates more on technical events than non technical events. The library in the college has 4 floors with abundant of books in all sectors, each and every book is also available in Online too. In classrooms, each and everyclass has smart projector and speakers attached to it and every session has lecture materials and a lecture video attached in the college website which you may refer later. They also concentrate more on sports, if you need to join college team, you have to show them your talent and you may join and attend state level competitions or even nationals. There are Music and Dance clubs where you can sing and dance, in which concerts will be conducted monthly, there are lot more clubs for english development, helping society, NCC and also NSS.

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities and room can be chosen by the student themselfs from single, double, four and AC-single cot rooms, The rooms are greatly maintained and cleaned on a daily basis, I say the mess food provided is an average as it will be good at sometimes and terribly bad at some times, the registration process for the hostel comes along with the admission itself and also if you need any rental rooms or PG outside the campus, it is available is the nearby town Sathyamangalam which is 5 mins away from the compus.

Admission

As I am a Management quota student, I didn't apply for many colleges, I just visited few colleges which are nearby to my college, I visited SKCET, KCT and Kongu which are almost the same tier of my college, The reason why I chose this one over the others was the infrastructure, which is top notch and the fee structure which is a way lesser than the other colleges and the placement rate is higher than the other ones, and I didn't get any rejections from any colleges as I liked and selected this one and so didnt apply to any others, The admission process here is also too simple for management students, you just have to visit the campus and pay the required amount but they require some atleast some basic marks in the boards and for merit students, it is same as per the anna university rule set. For my department(CSE), the cutoff requred would be around 190/200 and it may vary for other departments and the admission is purely based on Board exams.

Faculty

5

The Faculty to student ratio will be 15:1, there are enough faculties in the campus to guide you, Most of the faculties here have doctorates in their specific fields. The facultied here are the added advantage for the college as they are highly talented, I love my Computer networks teacher where the communication will be like a friend to friend conversation, There are 2 internals in the semester and an.end semester exam the internal exam is more hard comparatively and there will be lab cycles conducted for specific subjects.
