A place where opportunities meets talent

Our college is affiliated under osmania university and is given autonomous status so that our college designs our curriculum and exams are conducted in college premises only. As per osmania, JNTU every semester have average of 5-6 theory subjects.

Companies like Amazon, Google, cognizant, TCS, tata motors, Hyundai, oracle, service now offers internship to students who gets selected in interviews. I currently have no much idea as I'm still in 3rd year and haven't sat down for interview.

In CSE, IT people often get good placements with good packages in companies that come to our college. Around 100 companies visit our campus every year in all distinctions and all branches. Highest packages goes from 60 lacs to 1 crore per annum. Vasavi always had an upward graph in terms of placements.

For first years, the fees for students alloted through tseamcet/tgeapcet convener paid online. For students with JEE score coming b-category should pay to the college on spot admissions. For SC/ST students, a reimbursement course is opted by the government.

Vasavi had a long running cultural fest called 'EUPHORIA' co hosted with techfest. Every branch showcases their projects and conducts games to play giving entrepreneurship opportunities to set up their own stalls, games, rides, etc. sometimes sports are also held. Extra curricular activities includes students to participate in sessions as a part of academics to get 2 credits and is compulsory where a group of multi disciplinary students come together and do fun activities like toastmasters, MUN, photography, film making, writer's club, arts, etc. and also these clubs are part of college culture as seperate clubs operated by students including robotics clubs, sports club, racing teams, etc.

Mechanical Engineering demand is very low these days. As I chose this per passion, I wanted a college which had reputation as a good college, has infrastructure and is old in terms of its presence. Somehow I couldn't crack JEE, so through eamcet, got allotted to this college as I chose.

Every section has utmost 60-65 students constantly under supervision of class co-ordinator. A subject of theory class goes on for an hour. Making it comfortable for faculty to come and setup any instruments, presentation or notes. Any student can approach to the faculty irrespective of their designation and faculty makes sure students can come and ask doubts regarding subjects as well as career guidance. A batch of 15 students divided are assigned to a mentor/proctor who regularly keeps updating attendance and any help needed regarding faculty, department and subjects. Every sem has 2 internals for both theory and labs and after instructions, semester end examinations are conducted over a period of 20 days according to no.of subjects per department and syllabus.
