Course Curriculum Overview

I have found B.com (Hons ) program at IITM janakpuri to be quite beneficial. The curriculum is well structured , focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical experience that are essential in today life

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 139800 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am in first year and my first semester is going on for B.com ( hons ) . Registration fee was 2500 and 91000 to ip university and 41800 to college for the first year . The fee structure of ip University as compared to DU is more but the facilities are great !

Campus Life

There is many clubs in our college like commerce club and dance society, internware , umang , nss cell . There is time to time webinars and there is a major focus on sustainability by environment department.

Admission

I applied for B.com hons programme in Delhi University and IP University and my agenda was cleared if I will be allotted with atleast south campus college in delhi university then I will go for it but I was not alloted any college there so my second priority was IP University and then I was allotted IITM second shift

Faculty

The faculty members are nice and they are always ready to solve our doubts and assignment queries. We can go and meet them in faculty rooms aur we can text them personally or through CR . There is regular google test in class but internal exam is there and i am new so I don't the fail and pass ratio

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College: A Prodigy to Become!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the BCom Hons course curriculum at SBSC around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. One of the main reasons I chose this course was because it offers a good mix of commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Law, and Corporate Law, along with exposure to Economics and Management, which seemed useful whether I go for MBA or competitive exams later. The first-year subjects felt more like a base, but from second semester onward it started to get a bit more practical. Each subject has 25 marks for internals and 75 for the main exam. Most exams are 3 hours long and subjective, and I’d say the difficulty level is moderate. If you’ve been regular with notes and study the past papers, it’s not hard to pass, but getting 8+ CGPA requires consistent effort. Overall, the curriculum gives a decent foundation but it could be way better if more practical components and industry exposure were added.

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college.The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

Bcom in Delhi University is one of the best courses compared to other universities. Course curriculum is also very good . Exam method is little hectic and hard because of 7 subject. But i think course does not prepare you for real world application

Navigating my campus life!

I applied and got admission for bharti vidyapeeth, bhagini nivedita from delhi university, also got admission in Jims Noida, and Christ University, Ghaziabad. So why i chose this college? According to me bharti vidyapeeth was a strict college, and faculty of there was also strict as if i asked my friends they use to debarred the students. Whereas the college of delhi university was sick. The infrastructure was poor, The faculty memebers of there was disrespectful and the environment and cleanliness there was pathetic. Also bein the outer area of Najafgarh the are was not safe for girls. Jims Noida was offering me for Bba course but they don't provide the Bcom hons course and i wanted to pursue that. Christ university was also a strict college and students are used to wear uniforms so i didn't wanted to opt for that, and i got this college in spot round and i loved the environment and vibe of the colleges than the other colleges i got admission in. No i didn't got any rejection from other colleges. The admission process was so simple you have to give just Cet test which under ipu university for ug students.
