Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is beautifully structured , gives importance to each subject and help in integrating it There is enough clinical exposure , students are posted in.clincal posting from second year ownwards Theory classes are good in first year In second third and final year i felt it would have been better if they give more importance for clincals rather than theory classes Monthly exams are good

4

In internship we will be posted in each department and are given opportunity to get exposed to clincal aspects Hostel facility is seperate and nearby Internship will be little hard because of patient load and continuous duties There will be a total of 15 paid leave which we cannot take continuously Stipent is good about 25000-30000per month

Campus Life

3

There will be a cultural fest lasting for 10 days including stage and non-stage items every year mostly in the month of April or may Sports events are clubbed along with this Tamil mandaram in april or May Hostel day and council changing events in June or july The classroom and lab are good Classrooms are non Ac but there is enough ventilation and fans Enough seating also The library is good with many books Clubs and other events are not that good Such activities have to improve

Admission

Truly speaking this was not my dream college my intension was to study medicine in. A government college and in that way iam happy This college is very far from my hometown I have tried goverment medical colleges in kerala And other government medical colleges in tamilnadu like stanley , madras , kilpuak , coimabtore , kanyakumari etc But my neet rank was 9146 which was not enough to get admission to above mentioned colleges The current all india rank cuttoff for thus college is 13000 almost for general category

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
