What Students Say
Likes
- The college provides every kind of facility you need as an engineering student.
Dislikes
- If you need to get placed and reach somewhere in life, you have to do it by yourself. The college will only provide when YOU make a move by requesting or something. Don’t expect them to provide everything and spoonfeed you.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are not too hard but also not too easy (Internal series exams). Teaching methods and course curriculum are pretty on point and I'm able to understand the classes. Now I'm only in second year so I can't talk about how relevant the curriculum is for real world applications.
Internships Opportunities
They mainly provide internships with techno park as it is closer to college. Then there are collaborations with ibm and all. They also provide opportunities to work with other colleges. But I don't have much information on this area as a 3rd sem student.
Placement Experience
During our second year (3rd sem) onwards, they begin to provide placement classes every week with guests from outside. They also provide frequent workshops for students. I don't have much idea of the placement rates.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the course during my batch(23-27) is 75000. But having scored about 90% during my 12th, I got scholarship and fee is reduced to 55000 for me. In order to receive such scholarships they are checking two criteria's: either you need to have above 90 in your 12th board or you need to write an entrance exam provided from college during the time of admission and score above a certain mark. You cannot receive fee reduction by opting for both. But they have increased every course fees from this year onwards.
Campus Life
They provide club activities every week where students can engage in any clubs they want like sports, dance, music, adventure, photography etc. The library is big enough and students can refer as well as borrow any textbooks or novels of their choice from the library. For full time readers, as a novel reader myself, the choice of novels are not that great but it will do.
Hostel Facilities
Normal rooms come with a bed, and study table, (for two) along with necessities like fan, two lights and socket. Attached bathroom or AC rooms come with bed, mattress, study table, chair, cupboard and the bathroom within the room(shower, toilet etc). Food taste is pretty okay compared to other college hostel food. Menu is very simple not many choices for every meals. Hostel fee including mess for normal rooms are 65000 per year.
Admission
I mainly chose this college over others because this was one of the few colleges that offered AI along with Data structure. Most of the other colleges offfered only Ai with ML which was not what I was looking for. I only came here cuz it was too late for me to apply for other colleges whereas here, the admission was pretty late and there were seats available. Only after coming here did I see the facilities and activities they provided here.
Faculty
Faculties are easily approachable and friendly. You can go to them for whatever help you need and clear doubts as well. There are 3 internal exams each every month before you face your sem exam. Among the three internals, two best ones for each subject are taken into consideration while calculating your final result. The internal exams seems easy and not so hard to crack but the sem questions do get harder and different compared to the internal exam questions. Sem exam questions depends on the subject and where the questions are coming from. Sometimes the question paper is completely internal and provided by the college faculty itself whereas sometimes they take 20% of questions from external. This depends on your sem and subject.
