Course Curriculum Overview

4

The ent courses and econ courses have influenced my decision making on what I should pursue later in life. The curriculum really prepares us for the real world with guest speakers and colloquims with amazing speakers. The courses have bad attendance policy and is very lenient. A strict attendance policy would enable more learning. We have 2-3 exams for most of the econ courses through the sem and they are relatively difficult

Internships Opportunities

5

I am not sure about this segment because I have not reached my graduation year yet. However there are consultations companies like Sequioa and McKinsey and Goldman sachs that come to Ashoka for interviewing students

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for placements for different majors after their 3rd or their 4th years. The campus provides students with placements. Companies like McKinsey, Goldman Sachs and other consultation companies visit Ashoka and they don't have a fixed number of offers they make. The percentage varies for different majors and different companies. I intend to join the family business after completing my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

I will be paying 11,08,000 as a year wise fee. The break for that would be 9,27,000 for tution and 1,81,000 as residence. 50000 is a one off payment at the time of accepting the offer of admission. There is a security deposit of 75,000. Acceptance fee is 10000. There is a minimum amount of 17500 toward meal and dining facilities at the end of each semester.

Campus Life

5

We celebrate all festivals very diversely. There are many fairs that are held for any special day. We have fairs for Valentine's Day in feb etc. there is the great Ashokan weekend which happens every year in October and November. The classrooms are provided with top class projectors and speakers. However the WiFi of Ashoka is horrible. The sports facilities and extra curricular facilities of Ashoka is extra ordinary. There are many clubs and societies in Ashoka. There is the student government as well that takes care of the day to day operations at Ashoka

Hostel Facilities

2

The rooms are small with one bed, good closet space, multiple draws. We have communal washrooms that are used by all the residents of the respective floors. The meals are average but there are multiple food outlets across campus that provide easy and close access to good food at minimal prices. The registration process for hostel is taken care my management. I did not rent a room

Admission

I applied to NMIMS, Jindal, symbiosis, IIM, Christ, Manipal. I got into all colleges and I did relatively well in the exams as well. I chose Ashoka because of its liberal arts policy. I learned so much through other courses which are not my major. I did not get a rejection from any college. Ashoka starts of with an application with multiple essays. After getting approved there is an interview round and after that I got my offer letter

Faculty

4

The college has a diverse faculty with professors from all around the world for all the courses, majors, minors and concentrations. I liked the ent faculty especially prof. Priyank because of the guest lecturers he brings and because of the topics he teaches. I did not like the visiting prof. William McDonald because he didn't teach his course properly and did not have a great course policy and the grading was extremely lenient with no learning through the course. There are different exams for different courses. A few courses offer assignment and submissions instead of exams. The exams are relatively difficult and it is very difficult to score and do well on these exams

Other Applied Colleges

NMIMS School of Branding and Advertising - [SOBA] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] (Advertising & Branding)

I felt that Ashoka university has better placements
