Beyond the brochure: My life at SRM

Basically, I had interest in Journalism. I did my UG in English in that, I had Journalism paper which influenced me to choose this course. The syllabus curriculum is so relevant and activity based, it's like what we do if we go to jobs, this course makes the students more engaged than every other course. Industrial visit needs to be improvised For Cycle test they will give one and half hours within this timing we need to write for 50 marks which is quite difficult. Modal exam is equal to the semester which is easy to write in three hours.

In Srm Institute of science and technology, for Master degree the annual fee starts from 60,000. For MA Journalism & Mass Communication, the annual fee amount is 60,000. Apart from the annual fee you have to pay the exam fee for every year which will come around 5000. Before the semester exam the students are asked to pay the sem fee. Basically application fees for Srm university is 1000, and the registration amount is 500. If you got seat, you have to pay your annual fee in the beginning of admission. The amount will be divided into half, the first half fee includes your registration fee, and then in the end of your admission process you have to pay the remaining half of you annual fees. I paid 35,500 in the first half and later I paid 30000, and after my entire payment my seat was confirmed. In SRM, they provide so many scholarship for the students, you can check it in the official website, and for the sports quota, students didn't have to pay their academic or hostel fee.

1) Milan - March Aarush - November Yathra - August Are all cultural festivals which will happen every year, other than this there is a lot of departmental and student organised cultural program will occur. 2) You can access every book in the library, but some rare collections books cannot be taken from the library. 3) Ac classroom with cussion chairs are available with full ventilation. 4) Every students are free to use the ground and can participate in sports activities, SRM give more preference to sports. 5) There is a lot of clubs and groups are there for students to enhance and implement their ideas to develop into next level like Aarush, Rotract club, Film club, Music club, etc.. The entire campus is greeenary

Other than Srm, I applied two colleges which is Madras Christian College (MCC) & Alaghapa University, located in Karaikudi. I got seats in every college which I have applied but Srm didn't made me to wait for a long period , I got my seat within one week after I applied and I found SRM as a top college compare to these college so I choose to study here. The admission process is simple, first you have to apply in the official Srm website, if you got selected they will send you an e-mail, within a short period they will give you a registration number with that you can access your account and you need to give all your details and need to pay your entire fees. The application fee is 1000 and comes the registration fee is 500. Eligibility - Minimum you 60 percent, any course is fine to do Journalism. Accepted Exams - CUET PG, Pass mark is fine for the students to get in SRM. In overall Admission experience is good and easy for the students to progress.

1) In my department nearly 200 students and 10 staffs are there. The faculties are so friendly approachable. 2) I like Viduthalai sir who handles Indian Constitution paper for me, he is so friendly with the student and handle the class from every social perspective. Apart from him my Head of the department, Praveen sir, is also one of the best faculty in our department. 3) Every faculties are good there is no faculty who are unlikable. 4) Totally five exam with practicals. Cycle test 1&2, Modal examination, practical examination and Semester exam. The cycle test are easy, modal will be difficult, but the semester exams are okay. However one or two students used to fail in our department. The course curriculum is more relevant.
