- The place has Diversity but there's lack of Northeast People in my campus As I am a northeast myself
Course Curriculum Overview
The Medical College is indeed a very different course from all other courses, the first year is the base and after which the 2,3,4th builds up your clinical knowledge, we are presented in postings which we deal w real patients from 2nd year. The curriculum prepares you well enough to make you capable of handling of all kinds of patient problems and atleast makes you a competent doctor who can save thousand of lives in the future The areas of improvement I wish we were more involved more tech savy area as medical College are still reluctant to use tech savy items, integrating it would be a great help The frequency of Big Exams include 4 main exams Which happens at a gap of 3 months approx, 1st term 2nd term pre profs and profs Pre profs and profs have a gap of 1 month. The first term is the easiest and prof is the hardest because prof syallabus includes all of the things taught in the year
Internships Opportunities
They offer internship which gives us around 12,000 per month for a year which is mandatory. For a medical College one year internship is mandatory, we get good exposure as interns and good money, although not as good as central Colleges but as a private MBBS college it's okay
Fees and Financial Aid
I got this college via UP private MBBS college counselling which was 2,00,000 and another 3,00,000 as deposit. These are the one time fees that'll be refunded later on, the fees include 11,86,000 per year plus 85,000 miscellaneous plus 1,75,000 for hostel Which comes approximately to 14.5 lakhs per year(the tution fees remains same) And for starting first year it takes around 19.5lakh (in which 5Lakh is refunded 2Lakh for counselling and 3 lakh as security deposit when you complete your course)
Campus Life
We have Zest, and college fest that happens around the months of November December. We have all the major medical books and journals available in the library We have Smart Screens ACs cadavers are plentiful. Sports fest happens all year round and not just that you can join any other college sport fest as our college is very supportive of it. Rn there's no such things as student run social groups but we are working on it to make one.
Admission
I applied To Different Colleges Like SIMS, Rama, Sharda. I got selected in all except Sharda. Sharda cutoff was too high for me, it was around 1Lakh Rank in NEET mine was around 1.4lakh AIR Admission process is via NEET exam. You have to qualify the NEET exam and score a certain Cutoff rank for you to get our college I assumed you atleast need a AIR 2Lakh for our college. I enjoy my college as it is good enough for me
Faculty
As a medical College, you couldn't ask for more in a private college there's atleast 4 Professors in each dept. As I have done my first year I'll talk about my 1st year subjects For Anatomy, we had an AIR professor as our Anatomy HOD he was a passed out From AIIMS Delhi, all medicos know how prestigious AIIMS Delhi is, and all other professors in the dept are all well trained in the respective fields too, as for Physiology We had a change of HODs during mid season cause of health issue of our previous HOD, Namrata Ma'am she was the HOD of physiology in MAMC, and rn currently our HOD is Akhilesh Sir Which he himself is a pass out from MAMC Delhi. I suppose you can get an idea how good the faculties are. If you have anything you wish to discuss they're always readily available to hear you out. If you write a decent paper in the exams you'll get decent marks. Writting relevant answers in the exam is the key to passing. the Exam system We have 1st term , 2nd Term Pre Proffs and Proffs Here the 1st, 2nd term and pre proffs are internal assessment in which they decide whether you're competeng enough to give your proff exams if you're not competent enough they'll detain you, but you don't have to worry because the amount of people detained is considerably small in a batch of 150 students it was around 20 people only
