Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is based on the NEP 2022 which focuses on overall development of students and has major focus on skill development along with theoretical knowledge Of the subjects This curriculum prepares us for various aspects of real world application The curriculum is apt and I think it does not need major changes apart from regular and timely revisions The exams are frequent enough to keep students engaged in studies throughout the year They might not be difficult but are definitely to the topic and are lengthy and need descriptive explanation

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is very affordable as I have opted for govt financed course I only paid rs 741 for my admission and misc fees of rs 350 Exam fees Rs 249 is to be paid each semester The admission fees for general category students is around rs 1500 The fees can be further reduced by opting for scholarships / freeships . The college provides scholarship from the alumni association and other govt scholarships

Campus Life

5

My overall campus experience is great Ive registered into 2 different clubs which conduct different activities throughout the year which are very fun to attend The college has an annual function which is called the Athaneum and is a major festival for the students throughout the city The College Library has Over 2000 books and has books on various topics from multiple authors . The library has subscribed to multiple daily newspapers and monthly magazines for the students to read All the college Classrooms are equipped with smartboards and projectors for audio visual teaching methods The college sports department has all the modern sports equipment and also has a gym for the healthy and fit life for students All the clubs of the colleges are run by the students and are monitored by the teachers in charge , the events are completely organized by the students and are successful, this provides the students first hand experience in management practices

Admission

I had also applied to Delhi University and got selected into Shaheed Bhagat Singh College For B.com Hons course and could have gotten better college if I accepted their offer These colleges were far better than the college I am in currently but the only reason I didn't move to Delhi was because "papa nhi maane" I plan on giving cuet again and getting into reputed colleges like srcc , hindu college etc I didn't get rejected from any colleges as such The only reason I took admission in this college is because it was near to my home The admission process of my college is a easy one you just need to register on the college website and the university website and pay the application fees there and submit the documents. When the applications close the merit list is released and waiting list . If you are in the merit list you get a link sent to your mobile for paying the admission fees and you get admitted into the college There are no other processes to the admission

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is weak as this is a govt financed course and the class has around 198 students per class and only one teacher is assigned to a class of this size The faculty is very approachable and are always ready to help students during and after classes too All the facilities are great particularly i really love the lectures from Dr Hariom Puniyani who teaches us Indian Economics and Business Models, the way he explains the topic and relates it with real life scenarios is just amazing and keeps us engaged throughout the lecture , i have never got bored in his class as it is verry fun There are no facilities that I dislike but the Faculty for CAB is a strict one , keeps scolding students for no reason The exams are conducted semester wise and are seasonal , the exams I'd say are not difficult if you study properly and faithfully The ones who don't study will obviously fail any exam The course curriculum is relevant to the current generation and includes topics which are today's needs for a working professional

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
