Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum for Bsc itriple major in Chemistry, Botany and Zoology is relative and comprehensive. I chose the course for its interdisciplinary approach amd the ability to explore multiple scientific branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission and first year fees was Rs.4,500 for students from teh Karnataka State Board, while students from other borad were required to pay Rs.7,000. The fees for the second and third yead was approximately Rs.5,000 each. Aditionally, the examination fees foreach semester ranged between Rs.1,200 and Rs.2,000. The Students were eligible too apply for the NSP and SSP scholarships.

Campus Life

5

The campus for the science college included 2 wings amisdt which the office was located. The deparments included in this main block were Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Psychology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Sericulture and the other building which is the PG block included the Physical Science subjects like Mathematics, Physics Statistics, etc. The campus also houses a library with clkose to 7,000 books and internet facilities. Wifi is available for free within the campus for students. In. between the two buildings is an open auditorium that can accomidate upto 1000 people. A gym, throwball court and a huge basket ball court is also in the campus. The sports room has the availability of sports equipment for students. The canteen food is pretty decent. There is a small nandini cafe.

Admission

I was waiting for NEET coumselling to finish and I didn't get a seat alloted. It was already too late and admissions had closed in other private colleges across bangalore. I was not ready to loose a year and hence chose the college.

Faculty

5

- Each Dept has about 8-10 permanent faculty members, the guest faculty change every semester. -The faculty members also help with working on research. -Theres usually 2 internals conducted and then the end semester exam.

Placement Experience:

At St Aloysius University, students typically become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onward. Reputed companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS etc have visited the campus offering multiple roles in IT services, research and analytics. The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Students in their fifth and sixth semesters are eligible for the campus placement cell. Only 50 -60% of students get campus placement offers. I would get into post-grad courses like an MSc in physics.
