Course Curriculum Overview

3

So the coursework is quite relevant the profs do take time to inform you about recent advancements in their fields and you are free to go with them and view their projects and ask them relevant doubts more into the industry and they will be more than welcoming to teach them , they try their best to impart as much as updated knowledge in their fields and generally are well informed . The curriculum teaches the basics required to understand the real world situations and once you know them you can easily tackle the advancements too as they generally are not too far from the textbooks that we learn from or the concepts we learn from the textbooks . There can be more practical learning though however it may be a little difficult and we do see our profs try to incorporate more and more innovative methods which is appreciated. The frequency and timing is fine it may be hectic but it's our responsibility to maintain that standard I feel .

Internships Opportunities

4

So major tech companies like Oracle nvidia do come and analog electronics Texas instruments p and g itc many major companies from major domains do take for interns with hefty stipends that may go up to 3 lakhs. I am not sure about the projects

Placement Experience

5

So nitt is known as a placement hub and it does do a good job in that aspect , students can get ppos from 4 th year start and can sit for placements as well from 4 th year. Many many companies visit and the placements are above 90 percent for circuital branches so difficult to tell the numbers . Highest from what I ve heard can go up to 50 ish and average is around 18 24 for circuital branches . My plans are to pursue post grad

Fees and Financial Aid

So for open categories, ews and obc s the fee will be 1, 14000 first sem and then 60 to 70 k every other sem , including hostel fees and for reserved categories it is 50 k first sem then 15 k alternative seems

Campus Life

4

So we have festember our inter college cultural fest which is quite big and a very fun experience and a learning experience for team members who organize the fest then nittfest the inter departmental fest which is also very fun along with pragyan an iso standard tech fest only iso standard student run fest along with iitm s . The range of books physical and e books is immense and other licenses you get to use are also very very valuable and will be extremely expensive otherwise also high quality technological provisions are available for those who may need it the sports facilities are also more than adequate. There are many student run tech cultural social clubs all of which do an amazing job you can go more into detail about it from the Instagram pages of these clubs

Admission

So Nitt is the best nit so when you don't get iits it's an obvious first choice also given that I am a home state student i got better course here too , so I did apply to vit and all I could ve gotten in but since this is better in all terms like quality , peers , fees etc I picked this . I did nt exactly get rejected from the colleges I applied to . So the admission process is fairly simple , write jee then sit for josaa counselling then you ll have your medical and physical verification. the cutoffs for nitt generally lie around 98 99 percentile and might go down depending on categories

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:11 . The faculty to student relationship is like it is everywhere, formal but also friendly at the same time if you give due respect and generally they are very helpful and talented in their own field with a lot of experience in projects and other things . I don't have any particular favourites or dislikes in professors . So the general exam structure for most courses is 2 cycle tests of 20 marks one endsem of 50 plus 10 for continuous assesment but some may change according how the professor wishes . Not many fail the exams and they are generally quite relevant to the course work like they are from the suggested books most of the time and not too difficult

Placement Experience:

Placements were too good in DACE. They also provide training for students who opt for higher studies or civil service exams. For higher studies, they give gate training. For the civil service exam, they give specific training for students to join government jobs. Other than this very good MNC companies with high packages will come to DACE for recruitment.
