What Students Say
Likes
- I really like the campus, it is very big and it felt nice to explore the college at the start of the first year
- I like the food shops, even though they are expensive they provide quality food
- I like my HOD, she is very kind and understanding.
Dislikes
- I dislike the environment, you need to be very cautious of your company.
- I dislike how there are multiple liquor shops near the university.
- I dislike the female to male ratio .. for ECE it is 1:9
Course Curriculum Overview
I already decided on my curriculum before choosing my college .. I want to pursue masters in the same and I think that there is a high scope in this field in the near future, students can learn a lot about how devices work and I want to be a VLSI design engineer in the future, this course will definitely help me with that.
Internships Opportunities
Our college mainly provideds in-campus internships being affiliated with Microsoft, it is generally projects which includes microcontrollers and programming, for example a air filter make using esp, a cpr kit with simulated vitals etc.
Placement Experience
Students are applicable to apply for placements starting the 7th semester, there are companies like TCS, Foxcon, Microsoft, etc. who come for interviews. The highest package from ECE was 18LPA and avg. Was 8LPA. A majority of applicable students get placed. I will pursue higher studies after my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
I am playing 1.9L per year, I do not know the exact fee structure though, CSE has a higher fees of 2.3L and ECE with specialisation has about 10k higher fees than normal ECE. I know about a scholarship provided to students with good marks in 12th, another for students who can't afford the fee, another is provided to the topper of the branch and the last is for people from Jammu Kashmir 100% scholarship to them by govt.
Campus Life
The fest is held every 2 years, In the month of October. There are 2 libraries and the main one being a big library with a variety of books, most fairly known books can be found there. Recently smart boards have been installed in the classes. For sports and most clubs it kind of works on nepotism. Though students are generally allowed to make new different clubs. I'll be unable to provide campus images as I am at home while I am writing this, feel free to approach me with a means to add photos later.
Admission
So, I did visit a few colleges but I couldn't really apply to many, there was a hard requirement of 75% in 12th boards, but from the colleges I could apply to, I chose manavrachna as the faculty seemed friendly and the campus was great.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is pretty good, I'd rather not make a wild guess about the exact numbers though.. I really like Abhiruchi ma'am(ECE HOD), Namita ma'am, Aamna ma'am, Shivani ma'am, Swati ma'am. I dislike Vijay sir(HOD of first year for all B.Tech) .. he teaches maths and seems to be very overconfident on his ability to teach .. The exams are rather simple but, it being a private college most students do not study sincerely and this about 30-35% of the class fails.
