Course Curriculum Overview

many of the courses are outdated like i have a subject called introduction to microcontrollers and ambedded system that is very very outdated there they teach us how to make project on arduno i think many subjects need to be changed.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements starts from 7th semester companies do come here but dont give good offers very less people gets the job or they offer very less number of people as there are soo soo many students applying for the same job.

Fees and Financial Aid

My entire fee structure for an annual year is 2 lakh 40 thousand.previously i got a scholarship of 20000.before admission i paid for an entrence exam which was a kind of scholarship exam there i payed somewhere about 2000. my batchmates payed the same amount as i do.

Campus Life

campus life is good there are many kinds of events going on every now and then recently we had tushen nights where many known bollywood celebrities came.they performed we also have many clubs and socities.

Hostel Facilities

Currently i am in 3 seater non Ac room which is in city hostel 2 of chandigarh university. mess food here is somewhat ok ok its not bad nor its that much good but you can like by eating thoes for avaling hostel you just need to take permission from the faculities and they provides with that.

Admission

I was not having many options left.i had to choose this college or this particular university because i had to complete my btech degree course also that is my professional degree course so that i had to opt for it.

Faculty

Faculity members are good just the management of this university is worse then anything.no work can be done in a minute you have to just rome around here and there just to get a single sign.according to me this is not accepteble there should be some change in it.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
