- The professors are supportive and helpful and are friendly to the students
- College life is chill, Batchmates are also amazing
- There are separate hostels for freshers and seniors which is good step
Dislikes
- Girl to Boy ratio is not that good , in the class of 79 Students only 10 are girls
- 75% attendance is mandatory which I think is not good as the college should be more chill
- There are classes which are quite old and without AC so it's quite uncomfortable to study in summers
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BTech in computer Science because I always wanted to be a software engineer. Curriculum of our college is good as IET is an autonomous college affiliated with AKTU so curriculum is same as AKTU but since it's autonomous the exam copies are checked by IET professors itself
Internships Opportunities
The major recruiters of our college are companies like Tata, Cisco, Wipro, Infotech and Adobe The package remains at 7-8 lpa but if you put little extra effort yoy can get even higher packages and offers or you can try for off campus
Placement Experience
Placements in college are decent, The average package is about 7 lpa which is great for an AKTU college and coding culture of our college is quite good which helps students in getting good off campus placements and internships Here at IET you can start applying for placements from 6th semester and many times students get PPO from various companies and firms
Fees and Financial Aid
The One year fees of our college is 89665 for tution and Hostel fees 14500 per year and Mess fees 40000 per year The fees doesn't increase after 1st year it's almost same for all the 4 years of BTech The college provides scholarships and organise sessions where students get to know about all the latest scholarships which students can avail Scholarships students can avail: 1. UP Government scholarship 2. NSP scholarship 3. Pragati Scholarship (for girls) and many other private scholarships
Campus Life
Our college usually don't organise that much fests but our college has good no of clubs and societies who keep organising different techincal programs and fests We have Parmath club which is a social club, Josh which is a arts and culture society And we also have some coding clubs
Hostel Facilities
In first year we get Ramanujan hostel where in a single room four students are there but the room is very small and it's not that good,they also don't provide 4 almirah Mess food is not that bad and sometimes it's very good and tasty For hostel allotment you have to physically report at Warden office
Admission
I didn't get a very good rank in Jee Mains that's why I was not able to get admission in any top NIT but in the last round of the Josaa counselling I got NIT Andhra Pradesh Mechanical but since I always had interest in Computer science and NIT Andhra was not that good that's why I chose IET Lucknow
Faculty
The faculties of our college are very good,supportive and helpful Each department has enough no of professors and assistant professors who are very approachable and you can take their help in almost anything Talking about exam patterns and exams the exam questions are mostly from old assignments and lecture questions so it's not very hard to get a decent GPA
Interview Experience
In our college we don't have any group discussion or interview for admission you only have to appear in Jee Mains and can get CS branch with about 50000 crl If you have any quota you can get CS with even higher ranks
