- Teaching methodology adopted by faculties were awesome and seniors were quite responsible and helpful in nature.
Dislikes
- Campus Life will be more beautiful and healthy if campus will be addiction free. Students should be monitored and counselling should be done on regular basis.
- As MIT is Engg college under Bihar Govt, so Infrastructure should be well balanced and attractive, because there's no issue of funding and implementing. I can see, it's now improving day by day. But still, faster resolution is required in the hostel
Course Curriculum Overview
Opting for a Mechanical Engineering course was a better choice. Each branch has its value and demand. So you can go with any branch of your choice. Teaching through showing animated videos and 3D pictures or designs will be helpful for the students to easily connect with the topics. Faculties were well qualified, they were from IITs, and NITs. They all have done their Ph. D.s and were selected through BPSC recruitment. Our term exams were on time and the difficulty level was moderate as the things that came in the exam were from the notes and guidance of our faculties that made it easier for us to write in the exam and get decent marks. You'll get more knowledge if you try to connect with faculties positively.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are well at MIT. It's best when compared to other colleges in Bihar. You've to be in the Final year of Graduation to participate in the placement drive. TCS, Yukinova, Infosys, Academor, Hi-Tech Next, Shriram Finance, Teachnook, Neometrix, etc. The highest Package offered is 9.6 LPA for IT Branch students as software developers and the Average package offered at MIT is 3.5 LPA which includes multiple job profiles. The percentage of students who get placement each year is approximately 75-80% of respective branches in a session. I have been placed in 7 different companies and I am thinking of joining any one of the companies after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total Tuition Fee for any program at MIT You've to pay Exam Fees of 3700/semester and 2500/year as development fee. It means you've to pay Rs 10,020 per year as College Fees if you belong to a category other than SC/ST. If you are an SC/ST student, then you've to pay less than 7000/year as College Fees. If you opt for Hostel & Mess facilities, then it'll be costlier but in range and genuine. Hostel fees per month are approx 1100 (for boys & girls) and Mess Fee is 3500-4000/month (for boys) & 3200-3500/month (for girls). If you are aware of Govt scholarship schemes then you can easily get by fulfilling all the criteria set by Govt. You'll get bonafides from college authorities easily to upload on respective scholarship schemes, like Post Matric Scholarship/ONGC Scholarship/ Pankh Scholarship/Pragati Scholarship, etc.
Campus Life
My life at the MIT MUZAFFARPUR campus was amazing and memorable. My friends were so entertaining and helpful. I am blessed to study for my B.Tech. There. At MIT, there are multiple fests organized periodically at the college level and the Inter-college level. TechMITi- Annual Tech Fest of MIT which is generally held in the month of April-May. UMANG- Annual Sports Meet. Fiesta- Annual Arts & Cultural Meet. These are the inter-college level events which are organized at MIT in which different colleges participate in the event. There are more than 5000+ books in the library from different branches. Amenities in the classroom are: Smartboard, Light, Fans, AC, computers, Desk Bench, Table Chair, Window, Gate, and Fire extinguishers. The Social Group of MIT is the Prakriti club which is dedicated to the nature of the MIT campus and surroundings and it also offers Yoga classes periodically. There are multiple clubs at MIT such as the IT Working Group, Sports Club, Moxie-Technical Club, and Junoon-Arts Cultural Club.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for hostel facilities. Hostel mess infrastructure was good for boys and girls hostel and the services provided there were also well-disciplined. To apply for the hostel rooms, you've to fill out the Google form shared at the time of admission to MIT.
Admission
No, I haven't applied to any other college than MIT. My only preference was MIT Muzaffarpur. I have to do Engineering from Govt college, so I got to know about this college under Bihar Govt and was excited to join in. There's a common exam namely JEE Mains. Counseling to different colleges and branches depends on the score of JEE Mains. Once you cross the cutoff of JEE Mains, you're eligible to apply for BCECE Engineering counseling processes to get admission to Bihar Engg colleges. You've to prepare PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, and MATHS well to compete in the examination.
Faculty
Faculties are supportive. You'll get more knowledge when you try to interact with them. Faculty to student ratio is 5:1 at MIT. I liked all faculties of my college from all respective departments, they are supportive and kind.
