What Students Say
Likes
- Its located in lucknow and here are many research Institutions like cdri csir so I've a lot more doors open for internships and personal growth
- Less class size so teacher pay attention to everyone
- I enjoy the campus atmosphere, we have commitees and societies
Dislikes
- The course in a lil bit difficult, tecahers are nice but some doesn't teach what they're expert in
- A little bit favoritism among teachers can be commonly seen
- Not many guiding lights, for example teachers only tells us about one opportunity that id GATE exam, nothing more nothing less.
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason why I chose this is that it's a booming field and continuously developing for better. The curriculum has lab activities that provides a great learning atmosphere hand hands on training for real world applications. Teaching methods can include more use of visual learning than the common classic whiteboard method. Now for the exam gaps we get 1-1.5 months gap between two mid terms and 1 month gap for end semester which also includes our practical exams. And this makes it hectic for us during the end days of the semester.
Placement Experience
Generally, students become eligible for campus placement from sixth semester but Placements are genuinely lesser than I expected them to be. But still sometimes companies like nestle visit and offer students jobs based on their skills and interview process. The highest package that's been offered here is 12 LPA (as much as my knowledge is) 10% students gets placed from the campus itself. My plans after I get the degree is to appear for gate exam and do MTech, or else job (if I get a nice one)
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees of my course is 1 lakh 25 thousand rupees. Per semester I pay 75,000 rupees My tution fee is 40,000 rupees and rest includes development fee, lab fee and security amount etc. The fees is nearly the same for everyone but scholarships are available for Minorities, faculty and sibling scholarship, J&K and northeast students, disabled students and merit based scholarships. That either aid complete waiver or atleast 20% of the fee.
Campus Life
We have fest like fiesta which is the annual event in our university. Its held in February end or march beginning. We also have qawwali and ghazal nights. But yes we dont have concerts and dance/ball nights like other colleges and thats what i miss the most here There are many clubs like sports club, artistic club and litrary clubs and other clubs and societies like biochromics society, high note music society which are student run
Hostel Facilities
I think the hostel facilities are satisfactory according to the rent. We pay 80000 rupees in our third year that makes 6,666 rs per month which is pretty affordable and reasonable(its increased for new students) recently 10k is increased for everyone but since 5k is lessen in second year that makes ours 80k. In a room (triple occupancy) each one get their own chair, study table, bed and almirah. We have a gym, a big study room and mess for every wing. The mess serves quality food and the menu is versatile.the registeration process is easier as compared to admission process in the course, you just have to pay the hostel fee, and show the receipt to the main warden and then she registers you and assign a room for you.
Admission
So I applied for jamia millia islamia in delhi for the bsc course in the same branch. I prepared for the exam whole heartedly but my grandma got sick the day before exam and due to this I couldn't go to delhi to appear for exam. I didn't wanted to drop a year so I chose integral university, my uncle is a teacher here and he suggested us to do so. The admission procedure aint tough but there's an entrance exam which you have to qualify to take admission in some of the courses. Not all courses requires entrance tests.
Faculty
The faculty in my department is very nice and helpful. They might seem a lil rude in class but guys trust me when you ask your doubts to them either in classroom or in the faculty room they are very helpful and polite. I guess faculty to student ratio is 1:3. There's no such faculty member that I personally hate or dislike. Every one is nice in their own place. There are 2 mid terms of 20 marks which are comparatively easier to crack than the end semester examination which is of 40 marks. Out of 40 student 2-3 students generally fail to clear the exam. The course curriculum is very relevant according to the need.
