What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure is great, you have a small canteen right beside law block and then we also have a 2 mess as far as I've seen with hygienic food and clean surroundings
- Plenty of resources are available depends on how you use it, there is IT LAB and library with almost all books available
- Faculty and mentors are very helpful, and keep on updating me about internship opportunities etc
Dislikes
- The crowd , since Icfai accepts almost everyone with average grades everyone joins this college but when you're joining be careful with the people you keep company with
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is great, it is applicable even in real life They teach you how to use subject in real life My semester started in July ending I had my mid-semester exams in September, in between I had assignments My end semester exams will start Nov ending
Placement Experience
Internships are provided from 2nd year I'm in still in my first year so no experience about placements However placements for my seniors started from 5th year from what I've seen But from what I've seen faculty help students a lot when it comes to placements
Fees and Financial Aid
I've paid 1.5 lakh in the first semester as it included caution deposit and I have paid 24000 as transportation fees. For the registration fee you need to pay 2000, and once you get your seat you need to pay 10000 as an admission fee. Later from the second semester based on your 12th percentile and merit in college they provide scholarships. My batchmates have paid the same amount as me Scholarships are available based on 12th and semester marks.
Campus Life
There are many events but there's Lexnot and Trithi which is a major fest Then we also have festival-based events We also have moot court competitions and MUNs Many clubs cater to different interests like sports art literature and dance etc Student-led clubs play an important role as they give opportunities to grow Campus life is great if you want to enjoy a proper uni life
Admission
I've tried attempting CLAT but scored only 80 which is not enough to secure a seat in Nalsar and it is expensive I've got into NMIMS Hyderabad but the placements are very bad and it's not satisfactory enough plus it is 4 hours away from my home CLAT is accepted in Icfai and you don't have to write the Icfai entrance test if you score above 30 in clat The admission process was very easy for me as the staff helped me during the entire process but the transport department are lethargic
Faculty
There is no exact student-professor ratio. Of the faculty 90 per cent of them are approachable and share important tips for examination Motivates you to take part in events There's no faculty I dislike as most of them come teach, help, solve doubts and leave nothing else Everyone mind their own business Exams when you're first year are very easy and most of them are analytical questions Just listen and follow faculty instructions you're good to go
