Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In one semester we have 2 exams one is mid sem which is of 25 marks and end sem which is of 60 marks and left 15 marks in based on assignments and attendance and presentations etc. Curriculum is upto date for Master in PSIR it's basically based on UGC NET and UPSC syllabus which will help you a lot. Teaching method is basically student centric and we have interactive sessions rather than a professor dominated class. If you are looking for overall review so its a great option for MA PSIR.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester fees including exam fees is 26500 and it changes every year so before taking admission call account office for information. This is the fee structure for a general category student. If you belong to SC/ST you will be paying half the amount which Unreserved Category student pays. Admission is based on merit. Faculty of our course is very good.

Campus Life

4.5

Speaking of the facilities provided, there are separate presentation rooms, conference rooms, and each department has its own auditorium. All the classrooms have air conditioning. Book shortage can be an issue because it's not possible to get 100 copies of the same book. Extracurricular activities: NSS, NCC, Department Clubs, Cricket teams, Volleyball, Hockey, Tennis, Gym, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

For boys, it's a single-seater room. You get your own room with complete privacy. It's quite decent. The hostel fee per semester is 44500, including mess fees. Although the mess food taste won't be like "ghar ka khaana," so you have to adjust. But it's not that bad.

Admission

Its a university under which you have different schools like school of management, engineering, law, humanities and social science etc. I got admission under school of humanities and social sciences. In this universities you either get admission based on merit or you might have to give entrance exam to secure admission.

Faculty

3.5

In masters one can say per faculty 5 students. So yes its a good ratio in Post Graduation course. One can get personal guidance and easily connect to the faculties. Some of the faculties like Dr. Gitesh kumar, Dr Saumya Sisodia, Dr Shivani Rai, Dr Vivek Mishra, Mr Rajesh Kumar and many more.

The placement cell of my college is proactive and supportive. While not all students secure campus placement the college equips us with employability skills and networking opportunities, providing career counseling, freelancing etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers all the main topics of UGC NET exam, hence my reason for choosing it. Like i said, if you study your syllabus well, you are decently prepared for half the competetive exams relevant to the field out there. Teachers could also have a more digital inclusive approach to teaching, referring to e-material out there. They happen once every semester. So that would be twice or thrice a year almost. They are moderate in terms of difficulty. One can easily sweep through them if they study well in the preparatory breaks. That much is enough to score decently.

Honestly speaking I did not found its placement facilities satisfying. College and university have to improve them for the betterment of students and also the image of their college. A very few students get placed from some course. It should be improved.
