What Students Say

Likes

The college infrastructue is the most attractive thing I felt in CU.
Faculty members are really supportive and technically skilled.
The hostel facilities like wifi, gym and sports is also very good in the campus.

Dislikes

The students of this college are not so friendsly and are ususally selfish in nature.
The same faculty member is teaching different subjects which i feel is not a good thing.
Academic blocks are ver far far constructed so it causes troubles in extreme cold and summers.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is totally same as other colleges and is really relevant because it is mentioned under the UGC guidelines and Chandigath University follows the guidelines very strcitly. The curriculum followed in my college is usually same which is followed by all the colleges across the world for this course.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Placement Experience

College offers 100% placement record for my course BE/BTech CSE with the average package of 4-6 LPA . Highest package offered last year was 56 LPA. The best part is we have a sepearate department for placements who helps students to get placed easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 2021-2025 batch is 90,000 per semester that is 1,80,000 per year. But while taking admission, students get a chance for appearing for a entrance test based on which they can get schoalrship uptop 100% for real.

Campus Life

Every two months, the department of arts and cultural affairs organizes a campus fest where renowned celebrities like Ammy Virk, Akshay Kumar, Honey Singh, Ranbir Kapoor visit campus for shootings, concerts and promotions.

Admission

I chose this college because of various paramteres such as Scholarship and infrastcructure. CU provides internation exposure to students having students from all across the globe. Admission process is very simple you may contact anny college number and they will guide your properly you don't need to do anything.

Faculty

The faculty members are really suuportive and cooperative towards the students. Not only academics but they are really helpful in explaing life lessons and guiding you in all aspects of your personal growth as well.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
